One of the most important parts of an emergency action plan is a go bag filled with everything you need in case of an evacuation...
Firefighters created a phonetic list, dubbed the "6 P's of Evacuation," to remember everything that should go with you and your emergency kit: People, pets and papers; phone numbers & important documents; Prescriptions, vitamins & eyeglasses; Pictures & irreplaceable memorabilia; Personal computer, hard drive & disks; "Plastic" (credit cards, ATM cards) & cash.

Nitrile gloves as well.
They are very light and compact.
IN colder climates, where getting stuck in snow might be an issue, I suppose hand and foot warmers. A warm hat.
Good suggestions.
The ONE thing you definitely need for the apocalypse is to have TWO Kawasaki KLX230 dual-sport dirtbikes or similar waiting in the garage or close by.
When the roads are clogged and gas is sparse you need those two four-strokes to get out of town FAST.
Oh yea, and couple of 10mm semi-auto pistols for support...
I’d recommend more like a month’s worth of prescription meds if necessary.
Just keep them updated by checking the bag regularly.
They serve as something to sit on or something to lie under.
A nice beach towel is a good addition.
You need a dirtbike to get the heck out of there..
What? Was this list made 25 years ago? We now have laptops and data on the cloud.
I would need a go trailer, not a bag. (I’m a Ham Op too, for 49 years)
I have a basic back pack with stuff for extended stay.
Army tested antibiotics and found they were good 7 years.
A municple storage with medicines 30 years old were tested and found 85% were still good. The liquid meds were the most failures.
Not a Go bag item but make sure your vehicle is road ready and filled with gasoline.

Well... If the thousands of burned vehicles on the Sunset Strip are any indication.
Vehicles that were gridlocked leaving drivers to flee on foot.
For one thing I have yet to see a dirt bike that would carry 8 people.
And I would not leave my family behind.
You will do as you like of course.
Well, in your case you would need at least four dirtbikes then.
Unless you want to be trapped on the interstate with thousands of others in you Ford Excursion..
you could always try the back roads.....like everybody else is thinking.
Better be armed..
A can opener, or at least what my unit called a John Wayne; a small can opener. The NFP I work for provides a mobile food pantry, and had canned goods for distribution after a local apartment building fire. Unfortunately, all of the cans required a can opener, so we could not pass out the food.

Grandma too?
Wow they have go bags shit I don’t even have a bag Guess I’ll have to join the rest of us
Have a place to go. Friends, family, a workplace, campground. And prep there so all you need in your bag is enough to get you to that place.
+1 Never see that from C-BS.
Firearms and ammo should be included.
