The “Economic Collapse” blog will predict economic collapse.

The gold blogs will predict that gold will rise to a billion dollars per ounce and offer to sell you some right now.

The “rapture ready” blogs will predict an imminent rapture and advise you to wear your rapture-best clothing because this rapture is for real this time.

The astronomy threads will show pictures of stars, galaxies, supernovas and nebulae that are, like, really far away. Like over a hundred miles.

The archaeology threads will show things that were lost, like, before I was born and were just found.

My cat’s working on his 2025 predictions right now. Oh, wait, he’s stopped and is checking his food dish. False alarm, he just ran to the other end of the house and I heard something get knocked over. Now he’s on the couch, washing himself. Looks like naptime.

That 0-16 record at least used to be something that would never be broken, only possibly tied. Now there’s a 17th game each season, dang it. ;^)

There was a lifelong season ticket holder from one of the polder towns (basically, Grandville, Hudsonville, Zeeland, Holland) who swore it off when they started with a 7-1 record, then finished the season 8-8. That was during the disaster of the Matt Millen years.
