Every time you reach for a coke, you could be losing 12 minutes of your life, scientists have claimed.
The worrying statistics were found in a study conducted by the University of Michigan which delved into just how much time certain processed foods take from your life.
Ultra-processed foods – which contain ingredients such as artificial colours and flavours, preservatives and emulsifiers – can be dangerous if not eaten in moderation.
And some favourites could end up costing you minutes of your life. A hot dog could shave off 36 minutes – and if you drink it with a coke, that’s another 12 minutes gone......
Which foods could shorten your life?
Hot dog – 36 minutes
Breakfast sandwich – 13 minutes
Eggs – 13 minutes
Coke – 12 minutes
Cheeseburgers – 9 minutes
Bacon – 6 minutes

You should have a good think about this. You may indeed have died in 1990, and this may explain many subsequent events.
The real problem is that you will begin suffering from the nasties so much sooner..,
And add cheese, so it zeroes out.
Yes, they are being mean. Answer is oily fish like mackerel, herring, cod, sardines or anchovies.
Maybe you’ve been dead all along?
I been done eating bacon, eggs coca cola furn goin on 80 yearn’
Doc says I yam perfect health
i see that nature’s perfect food, the egg, is once again on someone’s stupid naughty list ...
looks like these ignorant fools are several years behind the times:
“Myth: Dietary cholesterol raises blood cholesterol levels and increases the risk of heart disease.
Fact:
Recent scientific research has shown that dietary cholesterol has a minimal impact on blood cholesterol levels in most people.
The body tightly regulates its own cholesterol production, and dietary cholesterol accounts for only a small portion of overall cholesterol.
Saturated and trans fats, found in foods like processed meats, butter, and fried foods, have a much greater influence on raising blood cholesterol levels than dietary cholesterol.
Additional Points:
The American Heart Association no longer recommends limiting dietary cholesterol intake for healthy individuals.
Focus on consuming a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein.
Limit intake of saturated and trans fats to reduce the risk of heart disease. “
btw, how in hades did nature’s perfect food, the egg, wind up on these fools’ “processed” and “ultra-processed” foods list?
... does laying the egg by the chicken count as “ultra-processed”?
And if your life is not linear, and is more like a wad of balled up string all in one place at one time simultaneously touching itself at many points, then maybe its your future early death reaching back to remind yourself to enjoy things because youre checking out soon.
Well, if that were true, I would have lived to e about 120, because I drank them for almost 70 years before I quit when they went woke.
I am just going to live my life, for however long it lasts me.
Eggs?
Wrong.
Continuing the lie that cholesterol eaten becomes plaques in your arteries. I don’t believe it.
This kind of stuff has always been nonsense. For one thing- All things effect different people differently.
and experts speculate..
“Is this heaven? I must be dead for years but I sure did love my Nathan’s hot dogs with mustard and a coke”
Two dirty water dogs and a coke from the Sabrett’s cart. I wonder what the minute cost for the red onion sauce is.
If they truly were science based, they would advise that the more processed a foodstuff is, the more removed from its natural state it is, almost always the worse it is for you.
Classify this under, “MSM News Stories For The Stupid”. This is News Of The World level Poe garbage for stupid people. For example, I had the unfortunate experiences of meeting someone who asked me if Tokyo is near Los Angeles, and another that told me tornados change the axial tilt of the Earth. This is news made for those people and people who read news stories written by typists that start news stories by describing to the reader what the subject was wearing and their fashion sense.
>> and experts speculate..
Whatever would we poor common-sense rubes DO without Experts??!?
>> I wonder what the minute cost for the red onion sauce is.
It’s worth it, whatever the expert’s “minute cost”. :-)
>> Continuing the lie that cholesterol eaten becomes plaques in your arteries. I don’t believe it.
If you don’t consume enough cholesterol, your body MAKES it FOR you. So I don’t believe it either. The lie was fabricated in the bowels of medical research skools to sell you statin drugs.
