Just four days after being named the next White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles was waiting patiently for an espresso drink at a five-star hotel in Las Vegas.
Overnight, she had become one of the most powerful people in America. The value of a minute of her time could not be higher during the presidential transition: Republican strivers are hounding her for desirable gigs, and back at Mar-a-Lago, President-elect Donald J. Trump has kept courting controversy with his picks.
Yet here she was thousands of miles away, flanked only by a security guard, alone in line at a Four Seasons coffee shop. She had just peeled off from lunch with other top Trump campaign officials, including her fellow campaign manager, Chris LaCivita; the pollster Tony Fabrizio; and the campaign’s fund-raising chief, Meredith O’Rourke. “We’re all just chilling,” one member of the startled Trump entourage joked aloud when alerted that they had been spotted by a nearby New York Times reporter as they walked through the hotel.
What demanded the dayslong presence of all these Trumpworld figures during some of the most important weeks of their careers? The fall gathering of a secretive group of wealthy tech executives and their allies who have ascended swiftly within the Republican Party’s donor class: the Rockbridge Network.
The group, which was co-founded five years ago by JD Vance, sprouted from an informal set of dinners into a powerful coalition of Republican donors who have given more than $100 million to Rockbridge projects since 2019, according to a person close to the group, helping lead Silicon Valley’s march to the right. For Rockbridge, Mr. Vance’s election as vice president was a crowning achievement — and a tantalizing opportunity to wield new national influence.
But Rockbridge has largely kept its activities stealthy, mindful of...

utterly stupid and useless article written by an utterly stupid person.
Were Dr. Evil and Mini Me there, too?
“he New York Times” - didn’t have to read another word to know it’s complete and worthless garbage!
“Right-wing” just like me!

Purpose
The group describes itself as a “political venture capital firm.”[2]
The Rockbridge Network aims to influence U.S. politics by supporting right-wing media, voter turnout efforts, and election polling.
Donors
The group is backed by Silicon Valley figures, including some without a history of political giving. Other funds come from traditional Republican donors looking for new innovative organizations to give to.[1] Major donors include Peter Thiel and Rebekah Mercer.[6] Vance and Thiel have a long history of working together with Thiel backing many of Vance’s commercial and political ventures.[7] As of 2023, the group had approximately 125 members.[5]
It’s interesting to see a group of people disparaged for doing exactly what the previous group of people were applauded for.
New York Times is going balls out to try to affect Trump’s administration.
Future reference for RICO++ that will be signed into law next time Democrats have control.
It seems the commie-dem scum don’t like it when their own tactics are used by the other side.
This article reeks of fear. All of their statements/articles/opinions reek with fear these days. They know full well the pendulum has swung - they have been completely removed from ALL levers of power, all the momentum has swung to the right, and - most importantly - all the money is flowing right now, not left.
It’s our time. The communists over-reached, as always, and now it’s our turn to steer the ship.
| The Winklevoss twins
I think I remember them from the old Dick Tracy comics.
Zuckerman tried to cheat the Winkelvoss twins out of their rightful share of Fakebook.
“It’s our time. The communists over-reached, as always, and now it’s our turn to steer the ship.”
Right. It’s no time for the ssdd GOP timidity and playing “Mr. Nice Guys” routine. The survival of the nation is at stake.. and with that, our very lives are at stake, if we can’t get control of our national defense again.
And other common-sense changes must be made, not just changes re: border control, but also at the nation’s seaports. Leftist-run states can no longer be allowed to hold the rest of the nation hostage with their commie-left policies (See: Newsom-California).
The Winklevoss twins
I hope they don’t wind up like the Bogdanoff Twins ! yikes
This is GREAT! Maybe they can flush the sewers known as congress and government “public servants”.
“It’s our time. The communists over-reached, as always, and now it’s our turn to steer the ship.”
AMEN to THAT! Let’s hope we can keep a firm grip on things for a change. Ousting RINOs is going to be a great start.
The NYT has their stalkers following Trump and Elon.
I DO believe stalker laws protect both celebrities and politicians.
