I recently saw the movie “Reagan,” with Dennis Quaid. It features a positive portrayal of our 40th president’s laser-like focus to end the Cold War and the nuclear arms race. Reagan’s philosophy: “We win, they lose.”
Critics seem to hate this movie, but regular folks love it. In fact, the movie review website, “Rotten Tomatoes” notes this discrepancy.

I miss him everyday.
I miss him too. He wasn’t a blog pimp.
It was the best show I’ve seen in a year or two.
The last show I saw was one of the worst. Nicolas Cage in Long Legs. Even though it was supposed to be a thriller they managed to push DEI in every way…typical of movies. More DEI the less entertaining and quality.
‘Don’t believe me go watch some of the YOUTube vids of The Critical Drinker.
....went to see “Reagan” last week.....quite a large audience, but I would say no one in the theater was under the age of 60...the current generation has no idea of who Mr. Reagan was or what he did for this country, and they could not care less; this generation does not care about what happened back in the 1980s, that’s ancient history to them....
I cried when he left office.
So did I especially since dementia was killing his brilliant mind. And who did we get stuck with? George H. W. Bush, who was determined to reverse a lot of Reagan's successes. Sound familiar? Think Biden with his stack of E.O.s reversing every success Trump had.
I saw it and liked it immensely. Guess I’m just a regular person!

Same thing.
We went last week. The youngest person was my wife, she is 60.
One old gent came in and promptly fell on the very first step, spilling his popcorn all over. He hit the ground sort of heavily as well.
Does not bid well for future elections.

Not when he was leaving office, it was many years before Alzheimer’s got him, the Mayo clinic diagnosed it in 1994.
President Reagan didn’t have Alzheimer’s while in office
“Reagan went to the Bethesda Naval Hospital each year for extensive testing, and each year of his presidency he passed with flying colors.
Following his presidency, he went to the Mayo Clinic for extensive annual exams starting in 1989 and was given an annual test for dementia and mental deterioration. Each year, he passed the exam without showing any signs of dementia beyond normal aging until his disease was diagnosed and revealed in 1994.”

I saw the movie yesterday and realized how wrong I was at the time.
Good movie, well worth seeing.
An unbelievable movie! Ron and Nancy were a team and totally in love!
Do NOT miss it.
