The new movie Reagan, starring Dennis Quaid as the 40th U.S. president, is scoring big with audiences, earning an “A” on CinemaScore and a 98 percent audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Reagan, which opened in cinemas Friday, tells the life story of Ronald Reagan beginning with his boyhood in Illinois and continuing with his move to Hollywood and ultimately his transformation into a politician.
The large cast includes Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan and Mena Suvari as Ronald Reagan’s first wife, the Oscar-winning Hollywood star Jane Wyman. Oscar-winner Jon Voight plays a former Soviet KGB agent whose telling of Reagan’s victory in the Cold War frames the movie.

It made 2.6 million on Friday. I’d like to see it too sometime.
…and a 14% by the leftist “reviewer” crowd. Which is why we can no longer trust reviews by the “professionals”.
Great post since I didn’t even know that movie was out there.
Definitely on the list to watch.
On RottenTomatoes, the audience score was 98%
The critics gave it 18%, which tells you all you need to know about critics

I would love to meet Jon Voight
I just hope that he won’t bite my arm

You know I bought his ‘89 LeBaron convertible?
The last gifT to his nation was the timing of his death. That photo of Nancy Regan weeping on Ron’s coffin in the capital rotunda was the best unintentional campaign advertisement in history.
Say what you will about Bush, he was better than the alternative.
I think Bush and Reagan really liked each other
I think Bush and Reagan really liked each other
???
Bush was foisted on Reagan.
I mean during their 8 years together.
I mean from Day One.
A deep state snake.
I don’t think Barbara and Nancy likes each other
Wanted to go last night but my local AMC only had it on one screen, and all 3 shows were sold out at noon yesterday.
He sure didn't like Homer...
Does Rotten Tomatoes have a way of verifying movie attendance? I can’t imagine the libs not spoiling the audience ratings with things like: 1/5 I started bleeding from my eyes as soon as Reagan was born. The only good part of the movie was when Gorbachev saved the world from Reagan.
That's how the Bush Family would see Reagan and his family. Bush was a CIA weasel and you never really quit the CIA.
Don't get me started on Arms for Hostages in 1980, or the sinking of the USS Poet.
Oh I’ve simply ignored reviews by the “professional” movie critics for a long long time. They’re eaten up with their Leftist ideology. In fact, I usually do the exact opposite of whatever they recommend.
Everybody’s talkin’ at me, I can’t hear a word they’re sayin’... Just drivin’ around in Jon Voight’s car...

But I do pay attention to at least one critic today...Only One:
