As recently as 2011, Tim Walz claimed in official biographies for his campaign and congressional office that he was on the verge of completing a doctorate in education, a decade after he enrolled in a doctorate program at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in the small town of Winona.
The university, however, told the Washington Free Beacon that its last records indicating Walz was an active student are dated to 2004.
"We can confirm that Governor Walz attended Saint Mary's from 2001-2004 in our doctorate level Ed.D. program," the school's communications director, Ashly Bissen, told the Free Beacon. "He did not complete the degree program."

The bleakest time in a grad students life is writing the thesis.Not researching it but writing it. Finishing it, turning it in and having it accepted is the difference between boy and man or woman.

I knew guys like him in the military. All talk about what they were going to do but no substantial accomplishments or any progress toward the goal or whatever it was that they kept talking about to get attention.
Ten years is the usual period in which one can complete such a program. He could conceivably been a hair away from ABD (all but dissertation) status for seven years.
But yeah, I know he exaggerates and lies about pretty much anything he thinks will make him look better and advance his treasonous political career.

Minnesota sounds as if it has been badly abused for decades by Walz. A true shame since Minnesotans are generally good and trusting people. The ones there who have known the truth about their own governor, and resent the abuse, must be relieved to see that Walz’s false façade is being revealed.
So many PhD dissertations are worthless junk anyway. Things like… The effects of Shakespeare on the writings of Coleridge ….. Such a dissertation will be published in a professional journal and then will never be read by anyone but perhaps another English professor who teaches Shakespeare.
