UKRAINE has blitzed Putin's forces with massive kamikaze drone and missile strikes overnight as Zelensky has vowed to go "even deeper" into Russia.
Some 117 drones targeted at least nine regions across Russia, also hitting two crucial airfields in Mad Vlad's territory.
One of them includes the Savasleyka military base in the Nizhny Novgorod, home to lethal hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and MiG-31K aircraft used to bomb Ukraine.
An aircraft-type drone was seen in the sky ahead of the strike with a total of ten “arrivals” reported.
A video from ASTRA media outlet suggests that there was a direct hit.
Footage also showed thundering explosions and fire around Borisoglebsk airbase in Voronezh region, home to the 160th Fighter Aviation Regiment.
Kursk city - capital of the region where Ukraine’s troops are staging a counteroffensive - was targeted by missiles which Moscow said had been downed.
Kyiv now claims to control 74 settlements in the region, and more territory than Russia had gained in Ukraine all year in its 2024 offensive.

Really? Thats funny right there.
I believe the Russians attacked and captured a nuclear plant in Ukraine. So far as I know it was not damaged. I believe however, it is not currently operational
The point in attacking such a facility would be to eliminate the electricity thus handicapping the general population. I have no real idea that the Ukranian objective is the nuclear plant. That is merely speculation to get clicks and sell news.
Are those expensive and is Russia currently able to replace it with sanctions, etc.?
Many things can go wrong here and they would impact Russia just as hard. Since Russia has the ability to determine whether to stay in Ukraine or not, they should probably be assessing their strategy so far.
This is true.
The Afghan Army faced the same problem. It was well-armed on paper. But like you said, it was a ghost army. So when the Taliban attacked Kabul, there was nobody defending the Capital.
Makes me wonder if Zelensky decided to attack Moscow, will he be able to take it? Probably yes. Wagner Group could have taken Moscow last year.
Not a good idea though, at that point, Putin will nuke Ukraine so I'm sure Zelensky's allies won't let him do that.
While the rest of us are like sitting ducks.
The TV is telling the truth this time, honest! They may have lied about Trump beginning the day he declared his candidacy for 2016, all throughout his presidency; they may have lied about Biden being great, they may have lied about CONvid the whole time, but now they’re being honest, they swear!
Absolutely! I don't think the USSR stopped at their own border against the Germans in 1944-45.
well, we don’t know the aim of this and it will evolve, but this is self-defense from Muscowy.
Ukraine has been playing defense for 2.5 years now - initially very successfully, but now a stalemate.
They needed to go on the offensive to keep up their defense - by diverting Muscowy’s attention.
well, firstly - it isn’t “Zelenskyy attacking” - I doubt he has a military mind. It is the Ukrainian military going on the offensive by deviating Muscowy’s attention.
If Putin had given indications to stop, then Ukraine would not need to do this.
But the fear that Ukraine has had since September 2022 is that even if they given Putin some territory now, there is every indication that he will wait a few years for the world’s attention to go elsewhere and then come back for more territory - he did that in Feb 2022 after having de facto control of Crimea AND the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s republic in the Donbas
These are massive embarrassments to the Kremlin, no matter what the outcome now
It is self-defense — Ukraine played defense for 2.5 years and there is a stalemate.
By taking the fight to the enemy camp, they open up the field, perhaps easing on fighting in the south east.
And I DOUBT that Ukraine will keep that Muscowite territory - but, as I said above, I don’t know what is the aim
I didn’t know that. Thank you
This incursion is perhaps an attempt by Zelenskyy to influence US elections in favor of Harris, who will prolong the war. Ultimately, the incursion will fail, with a significant loss of Ukrainian troops.
Widespread bribery is a way of life in many cultures, esp. those in which tyranny left most people with no other options to survive. It’s woven into Russian culture as result of the Soviet era— cheating, bribing, etc. became valuable/valued skills. Dated Russian girls for a while, and even had a 3 year relationship with one of them. I did rather like the Russian subculture here— great food, smart people, no BS, but sketchy as all hell. (Girlfriend finally succumbed to family pressure to return “You are RUSSIAN, not American!”.). Will never forget getting pulled over for speeding with her in the car once— she totally went off on the cop (shocked the hell out of both of us guys...). After things got calmed down, and I got my ticket, she was still irate: “Why didn’t you just give him $100?” She refused to believe that offering a bribe would have made the situation worse.
Two wrongs do not make a right.
I thought the whole idea behind “winning” was not having the enemy cavorting in your rear.
However you choose to interpret that.
