UKRAINE has blitzed Putin's forces with massive kamikaze drone and missile strikes overnight as Zelensky has vowed to go "even deeper" into Russia.
Some 117 drones targeted at least nine regions across Russia, also hitting two crucial airfields in Mad Vlad's territory.
One of them includes the Savasleyka military base in the Nizhny Novgorod, home to lethal hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and MiG-31K aircraft used to bomb Ukraine.
An aircraft-type drone was seen in the sky ahead of the strike with a total of ten “arrivals” reported.
A video from ASTRA media outlet suggests that there was a direct hit.
Footage also showed thundering explosions and fire around Borisoglebsk airbase in Voronezh region, home to the 160th Fighter Aviation Regiment.
Kursk city - capital of the region where Ukraine’s troops are staging a counteroffensive - was targeted by missiles which Moscow said had been downed.
Kyiv now claims to control 74 settlements in the region, and more territory than Russia had gained in Ukraine all year in its 2024 offensive.

This is now more than just self defense from Russia.
Letting your opponent determine where, when and how a war will be fought guarantees you will lose.
Russia is governed by a dictator who rightly fears for his own life and his own standard of living.
Russia has the largest stock pile of nuclear weapons in the world.
What could possibly go wrong?
The Sun is typically more than a little “over enthusiastic” in their reports.
Nonetheless, these are fairly significant attacks, particularly if the damage done at the Russian air bases is more than a couple planes.

Claiming self defense is a lie when you are actually taking brand new ground in enemy territory offensively.

Even worse is a world where nuclear blackmail becomes the norm.
Pretty much EVERY leader these days is under considerable threat. In Pooty’s case, most of it is internal. For all its faults, NATO knows full well that knocking off Pooty accomplishes nothing and likely would backfire in a big way.
Make Ukraine glow again.

I expect nuclear reactors cracked like eggshells, more than nuclear weapons even being used. Ukraine will glow on its own if everyone isn’t very careful.

You completely misunderstood my post.
Putin does not fear NATO.
Putin fears his own Army, his own Intelligence Agencies, and his own political entourage.
To destroy a nuclear electric generating plant, the turbine generators should be attacked, leaving the reactor untouched.
Alternatively, the assault can be made on the switch yard and leave the reactor and generators untouched. Destroying the point where the electricity generated meets the transmission lines in effect cuts the electric cord disabling the plant while not creating adverse and harmful radiation release.

I understand that the problem Russian “ghost soldiers”. Corrupt Russian officers allowing soldiers to be absent for a bribe, thus Russia is facing an invasion defended by troops that only exist on paper. They are then pulling troops from neighboring areas that are mostly ghost soldiers, and further weakening those areas.
Short-term, Russia is screwed.

Nuclear power plants should not ever be attacked. This is insanity. Chernobyl was a peace-time accident, and look at that mess. No cleanup is possible.
The Ukraine has something like 6 nuclear power plants. A nuke plant needs to be functioning well enough for its active fuel to be safe. It has pools of spent fuel rods. Look at Fukushima in Japan.
There is occasional muttering about nuclear weapons being used, but no discussion of what 6 Chernobyl/Fukushimas would be like.
Some of these war hawks need to watch this movie. While the total number of warheads might be less the more advanced targeting systems probably make up for it:
