That is the challenge, what minimum standards are needed to sustain a civil community? In church we follow certain rules, at home, among our family, friends, and neighbors we follow certain rules. In all of these we have them looking at us, knowing us, which gives sober, moral, and ethical people pause before they speak or act.

Online, we have a free-for-all as most people are anonymous, often feeling free to say or act out without inhibition. That's why it is necessary, yes, necessary to have posted community standards and enforcement because not everyone is as God-fearing as you are. And it is your site, at the end of the day, your responsibility.

You have repeatedly posted great guidance that should be non-controversial to everyone. It is a matter of us following it, 99% do, and, when necessary, you and your moderators stepping in for those few bad apples.

This thread is an example of where action is needed.
