Russian citizens were forced to cast their votes in presidential elections from their beds today as polling officials set out to garner a high turnout for incumbent president Vladimir Putin.
Dystopian images emerged of an elderly, bed-ridden man looking over his shoulder as a stern-faced woman presumed to be his wife thrusts their voting cards into an empty ballot box held by an election official.

Running effectively unchallenged, the 71-year-old Kremlin chief is almost certain to secure another six-year term with any legitimate political opponents in jail, in exile or in the ground after his fiercest of opponents, Alexei Navalny, died in the depths of a remote Arctic penal colony last month.
The three other candidates on the ballot are low-profile politicians from token opposition parties that toe the Kremlin's line.

What happened to the multiple daily breathless reports from the "front lines" (Denys' couch in Switzerland or The Enforcer's basement in Alabama) that reassured us Russia is doomed?

With all due fairness, I have seem few articles that are less propaganda as this one. The article says voters are FORCED to vote from their beds, showing 2 bed-ridden voters casting ballots.
On this side of the world, that called ballot harvesting.
Then, they show a newly wed couple going into vote, claiming they cut short their wedding celebration just to cast ballots. 3 things:
1. Checked the left hand on the bride - perhaps already married.
2. Noticed both needed to show their passport. Voter ID maybe?
3. Lucky groom, but I digress...
Other things I noticed:
* paper ballots
* other candidates running against Putin.
* on and this one: “...Voters are casting their ballots Friday through to Sunday at polling stations across the vast country’s 11 time zones, as well as in illegally annexed regions of Ukraine...”
What - 3 days of voting? and didn’t those regions vote to be part of Russia - thus participate in their elections?
Oh, and the best part (before the opposition fires back): I thought Putin was a dictator? If so, why even bother having elections in the first place?
And why would these people be so eager to vote?
One candidate. Predetermined result.
Kinda like democrat primaries, huh?
And in Ukraine no vote is required... and in the US there were only 138M legal voters; no one has said any of Trump’s 75M were invalid.... Biden got 17M votes more than could have existed in his 81M total.
Funny watching Ukraine burn thru 40 vehicles and 2000 men in 72-hours to meddle in the Russia election by their cross-boarder campaign.
Every nation give you a couple of choices for their leaders. Of coruse the systems are not perfect. In the Banana Republic of AmeriKa, the democrat corruption is legendary and know throughout the world.
So what is it with AmeriKa’s Democratic Socialists of America who are under Moscow? Are they vying for World Socialist Leadership? The particular brand of Marxism in the United States is the same as in Russia. Why is it that America’s Socialists are at War with Russia?
To answer that question is understand Russia hates the Nazi’s. Ukraine has Nazi’s. Apparently Canada can find them to make Zelenski feel at home in their legistature. American Socialists have thrown their lot in with the Bandaras Nazis in Ukraine and have become unrelenting Facists whose hold on power cannot be challenged by voting or courtrooms.
America’s Democrat Socialists of America, and the American Communist Party, has choosen Facism for its sheer hold on power over the Masses they were supposed to represent. Democrats in America no longer represent the working class socialists, communists, or Marxists in the US, they represent a Toleration Global Fasicist Alliance for the benefit of the Elites - and the little people be damned. The perversion of AmeriKan Socialism will not turn out well. Already the Ukraine debacle is estranging the DNC from their voter base, and Israel is further eroding their Power.
