I'd be OK with DeSantis (though it would take him away from being a proven conservative governor for an important state) or Ramaswamy. I would not be OK with Gabbard. I don't know enough about the others.

This is not "Trump's shortlist" for VP. It's a bunch of names given to him in an interview yesterday, and he said he'd consider them.

I concur with you. OTOH a MAGA VP candidate does not bring additional votes. It is all about winning elections. Losers of elections lose all power to change anything. So I will accept whoever Trump team decides will bring more votes from independents and even democrats. Only exception is I am dead set against Neocons of all stripes, since they are responsible for adding to the yuge fugly national debt, and loss of blood.

Well, he confirmed that they are all on his shortlist. There may be other names that we don't know about, but Trump had no reason to state that he has shortlisted these people if he hasn't.

Exactly. Trump will be 78 on Inauguration Day. His VP choice matters a lot. I'm not interested in seeing another George HW Bush inherit the Oval Office.
