In the later years of his life, Frank Sinatra would often reminisce about his loves, his losses and the friends he missed most, including Marilyn Monroe.
While the events surrounding what really happened on August 4, 1962 when the star was found dead from a drug overdose remain a mystery, Sinatra's close confidant and former road manager Tony Oppedisano, whose memoir Sinatra and Me: In The Wee Small Hours, is excerpted in this week's PEOPLE, says the singer didn't believe it was an accidental overdose. "Frank believed she was murdered," he writes, "and he never got over it."

Of course she was killed. Dems don’t leave any witnesses.
RFK was involved in it to stop her from damaging JFK. A highly laced enema was given to her and RFK got out of tow fast.
Not sure what happened to her diary that she was going to publish. Peter Lawford was in on it too.
Murdered by the Mob.
Didn’t they find like 30 partially dissolved pills in her stomach?
There was a full and exhaustive investigation of her death in “our democracy”.
Or not.....
Democrats make up the rules as they go along.
She probably had a laundry list of sick perversions to write about. This is politicians and actors we are talking about here. The most vile pack of perverts that exists.
If Sinatra “never got over it” that would be because of his role in procuring women for insatiable Lothario JFK.
Frank was right.....................
I am leaning towards an accidental OD. FWIW, I watched a documentary on Netflix that discussed a psychiatrist whom she dealt with in the last while of her life and he went away to Europe during that crucial period (in about late June, no later than early July 1962). The theory postulated is that Marilyn was likely that more vulnerable during that period without that person’s immediate counsel and help and she likely overdosed during a “bad” period.
Hollywood-Washington D.C. Connection: “You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.”....................
Sinatra was Monroe’s pimp. That’s the story I have heard.
RFK,Jr knows his father had a fling with MM?
I don’t know what he thinks.
Yep nobody has lost more friends than the Clinton’s by suicide.
“The most vile pack of perverts that exists.”
At least back then they abused women of age. Now they abuse underage females and males.
“I am leaning towards an accidental OD”
We will never know—they covered it up in a hurry.
It is kinda the Bobby version of Chappaquidick—regardless of whether he was responsible for her death he almost certainly had an opportunity to try to save her and instead fled the scene.
The strangest of all was how fast RFK wanted to get JFK out of the morgue and into the ground.
No, there was no pill residue found in her stomach and there was no water glass in her room which she would have needed to swallow the massive number of pills that it would have taken to reach the levels of drugs found in her blood stream.
The drugs are now thought to have been delivered in an enema or injected... There were bruises on her back from where they held her down.
“The official word is that Marilyn died of an overdose. And an autopsy report found that Marilyn died from acute combined drug toxicity, chloral hydrate (a calming medication usually used on patients before surgeries), and Nembutal (a sedative and anticonvulsant), according to People, and pill bottles were found by her bed.”
“However, no water glass was found in her room, which she would have likely needed to swallow all those pills, and there was no pill residue in her stomach. Cyril Wecht, a prominent forensic pathologist, told People that this suggests that “she might have been injected” with the drugs.”

Thanks for the information. It’s been a long time since I’ve looked into her death. I need to reexamine. No doubt the Kennedy crime fam was capable of murder.
The last telephone call M.M. made was to R.F.K.’s White House telephone number.
It was the Kennedy brothers who pushed her into that IMO
