A Tennessee lawmaker issued a dire warning after claiming to have seen classified UFO footage that hasn't been released to the public.
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., speculated extraterrestrial life forms could have technology that humanity "can't handle" during an appearance on the "Event Horizon" podcast.
"If they’re out there, they’re out there, and if they have this kind of technology, then they could turn us into a charcoal briquette," Burchett said.
"And if they can travel light years or at the speeds that we’ve seen, and physics as we know it, fly underwater, don't show a heat trail, things like that, then we are vastly out of our league."
Burchett is a sitting member on the House Oversight Committee, which has held hearings about potential threats of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), a government-derived term for UFOs.
"We can’t handle it," Burchett said during his podcast appearance about potential alien tech. "We couldn't fight them off if we wanted to. That's why I don't think they're a threat to us, or they would already have been."
His startling comments came after whistleblower David Grusch, a decorated Air Force veteran who is considered by many to be credible, came forward with claims the government has been running a secret UFO retrieval program.
The House Oversight Committee is preparing a hearing to discuss Grusch's unverified claims. Burchett and fellow Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida will lead the committee's investigation.

Ditto and I am starting to believe some of the Bigfoot stuff over the now centuries is likewise. No offense to those who have witnessed or had experiences. I am just beginning to think that though some of those folks have seen something extremely strange that truly was there it may not be what many believe it to be. It may even be worse.
I say if they do and are here on earth
in the Northern Hemisphere take
them out to lunch.
Clydes in Georgetown has a reasonably
priced menu then on to Matt Kanes that
wild Irish bar just like the Four
Provinces
( if they are still there) and raise
a glass of Guiness.
Send them back home with a case or two
of Bud Light
LOLOLOL
If any alien life form has the technology to even get here, then they are vastly more advanced than we are and we couldn’t possibly deal with them.

Well of course any civilization that can travel interstellar distances in a reasonable period of time would chew us up for a light snack if they were hostile. Only a few options exist: (1) they don’t exist, (2) they’re at least somewhat friendly, or (3) they are studying us like we study some primates and isolated aboriginal tribes while trying not to interfere too much. So why worry about it? Is interesting though.

Preparing for a mass disappearance?
And then Strong Delusion.
Wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

Oh, demonic apparitions is another option. Wasn’t going to go there unless someone else raised the concept first.
You can assess someone’s Christian faith by asking if they believe Genesis, or the UFO narrative. They are incompatible.
In the Genesis framework, “aliens” must have been created on earth, and at the same time as sentient humans. Then for the aliens narrative also to be true, in order to allow civilization/technology development and space travel, how long ago must creation have taken place?
So we must believe one or the other.
If they’ve been here for our existence as humans and longer why haven’t they destroyed us? Are we like the zoo, where they come to see us? Or does the earth have resources they need? Finally, I don’t ever think I’ve seen a clear picture of a ufo yet in my existence.
I want to know the truth just like many do, but I’ll be long dead before the full disclosure
Very good.
Imagine your response would be if the undocumented away from Earth space person’s first communication was “Take me to your Leader”!!!
“I have believed for a long time, that it’s demon manifestations, and their goal is deception.”
I believe it’s demonic, and the goal is to prepare those “left behind” to go with the alien abduction rationalization instead of the truth.
Lets get and me new info, what did he see?? this is at least a week old..
“I say if they do and are here on earth

We ARE the menu, like lobsters in a tank. :-)
“In the Genesis framework, “aliens” must have been created on earth, and at the same time as sentient humans.
...
“So we must believe one or the other.”
I think it’s POSSIBLE that God may have created other worlds with other beings, with their own specific paths to salvation, their own similar/parallel equivalents to our Scripture and Earth’s Book of Genesis. I don’t believe that’s true, but think it’s possible. We think within the constraints of our finite conceptions (or misconceptions) about everything.
If true, then Heaven might look like the bar scene in Star Wars.
Exactly.
I doubt some aliens would fly a trillion miles just to swing around in the upper atmosphere and then leave
