Scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were running risky experiments to create deadly mutant coronaviruses by fusing newly discovered strains - just before the outbreak of Covid-19.
US investigators believe Covid-19 was created by scientists at the Wuhan lab through experiments on a similar coronavirus discovered in a mineshaft in southern China.
Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were fusing deadly coronaviruses to create highly-infectious mutant strains, that were then used to infect albino mice, the US investigators claim.
The research programme was kept secret and covered up due to it being funded by the Chinese military with the aim of developing bioweapons, the investigators believe.
The secret initiative in turn led to the creation of Covid-19, which was then leaked into the city of Wuhan through a lab accident, before it spread across the globe, the US investigators claim.
The Wuhan laboratory had initially set out to discover the origins of the deadly SARS virus that first broke out in southern China in 2002, US investigators told the Sunday Times.
However, the research institute soon became engaged in increasingly risky experiments on coronaviruses that were taken from caves in southern China.
The Wuhan lab initially made all of its findings public and claimed its research was necessary to develop coronavirus vaccines.
The institute's position, however, shifted in 2016 when researchers from the Wuhan institute discovered a new coronavirus in a mineshaft in Mojiang, Yunnan, near China's border with Laos.
The coronavirus that was discovered in the Mojiang mineshaft is understood to be the only member of Covid-19's immediate family to have existed prior to the pandemic.
Chinese authorities, however, failed to report fatalities linked to the new coronavirus that was discovered in the Mojiang mineshaft.

Right and Fauci with his love for Hillary decided to get even with Trump and the Republicans by releasing the covid virus.
History will prove that Fauci and his helpers were the biggest mass murderers ever.

I imagine they would set up quarantine camps for resisters (they already know who we are) to keep everyone safe.
I suspect they would never fill up, because sadly as one reached capacity the virus would sweep through there and kill everyone.
Sure, Garland is the enemy, he will not indict any of the perps.
BUT, why not have up to 50 state Attorneys General indict these perps? Let them be tried in one or more states.
The manufacture, storage, distribution, and deployment of biological weapons and antidote vaccines is clear, flagrant, violation of federal law enacted in the 1970s.
It is also in violation of the International Convention of 1972 of which USA and China are signatories.
I say out of 50 states, surely one attorney general has the means and courage to indict these people.
Last I heard, UNC's grant (where one of the perps works) for such bioweapons development has been renewed. Heck, UNC Virology was so proud of their work they just ran a full-page ad in Nature.
Why not indict them, and convict for mass murder? Forget about ultimate justice, I just want them put out of business so they don't keep doing this !!
Thank goodness they are incompetent. This “deadly” version killed relatively few. Could you imagine a SARS/MEARS type virus that was readily transmissible? That would have been truly disastrous.
I always wonder if they intentionally released covid to out compete and provide immunity against something worse that initially was accidentally released. Just a random thought.

Regardless, anyone who believes that the government didn't have a plan to both operate and capitalize upon a pandemic situation is a fool.
The next 'crisis' will be the end of the US Constitution and the USA as we know it if - at a minimum - elements here are not held to account for their actions which literally set the stage for crisis #3: Economic/financial crash.
Here again, we are failing because the problem is NOT that there are no laws. It is that there is no enforcement.
I think they intentionally released Covid as an impetus for their cohorts in crime, big pharma, to make bazillions of dollars on the “vaccines” that already existed. Drugs were sitting on a shelf just waiting for crisis to occur, either naturally or, in this case, man made.
Covid killed so many birds with one stone. Big bucks for pharma. Sabotage Trump’s successes via Fauci, Pence, etc. Steal an election. Learn to what extent citizens could be controlled, and how quickly / easily the sheep would fall in line. It was a win-win-win-win for the bad guya.
