BOMBSHELL! Bud Light Parent Company, AB Inbev, is Going to be Fine. BOOM! (Vanity)
Free Republic ^ | 05.04.2023 | dware

I hate to say this, I really do, but Bud Light parent company AB Inbev is going to be just fine, even after this whole fake woman fiasco. I also hate saying that even the Conservative side has #fakenews, and the constant pounding of Bud Light by Conservative media outlets is kind of outrageous, and only serves to further rile us up.

Here's the truth:

I've been watching the AB Inbev stock since this whole thing started. As of March 31, the stock was sitting at $66, slightly under the 52 week high, $20 above the 52 week low. Since then, it has bounced between $63 - $66 per share. Today it is sitting at $65.

Have their sales suffered? Absolutely. Estimates have their losses from this around $6 or $7 billion. That may or may not be true. I've yet to find anything with substantive proof that is the case, however, but we can work with it. We'll call it $7 billion, which is certainly plausible with the size of the present boycott. Now, consider the fact that, last year, AB Inbev made $58 BILLION. Overall, they are a company worth $130 billion. At the end of the day, $7 billion will make a tidy little tax write off.

Will the stock sink at some point? It's entirely possible. If it's going to happen, I think it will happen sometime in July, when their 2nd quarter earnings report is released. Unfortunately, by that point, we will have mostly forgotten about the whole situation. We'll be too occupied by the next thing to come along. Americans have very, very short attention spans. So, while it may slump a little, it will rebound and probably fairly quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Bud Light. My beef with Bud Light stems less from them putting a fake woman on a beer can, and more from the fact that it's a crappy beer. The reason I'm writing this is because I'm getting so sick and tired of #CLICKBAIT #FAKENEWS Conservative so-called "News Outlets", such as Gateway Pundit, Sean Hannity among others. It's time we do better and quit listening to these clickbait machines whose only goal is to rile us up. We got enough to be riled up about without having these individuals and websites working to rile us more with the claims they are making.

If what you said had any bearing, Alissa Heinerscheid would have been promoted instead of replaced.

Subsidized-by-Soros companies like InBev and their Victory Swill will not last forever, no matter how much market manipulation they engage in.

Since you don’t know what a tax write-off is, the rest of your article is useless to even read.

Well that's your opinion, dude, and you're entitled to it. I do, in fact, know how tax write offs work. I am generalizing in this case, and as pointed out earlier, jumping to some conclusions, but overall, my point is valid: AB Inbev is NOT suffering like these clickbait companies are trying to lead us to believe. That is my point. They are good for nothing but riling us up over what will end up being an absolute nothing burger in the long run.

And it's not an article, it's a vanity post, as I did point out in the title.

Alissa Heinerscheid would have been promoted instead of replaced.

She hasn't exactly been "replaced". Temporarily, yes, but she is currently on a leave of absence. This will blow over eventually, the company will survive the dip and she will likely be back at work in a short period of time. Let me know when they actually, publicly fire her. You and I know that would be the best place to start, and that it would indicate serious trouble for the company.

Bud Light was the number one selling beer in the US taken down by hiring a clown at AB. Coors Light or Miller Light will take its place.

The point of Bud Light as a “beer” is to get drunk fast. That’s it. Not for enjoyment.

You are the problem.

The choice for Anheuser-Busch is between the zealot trans groups or conservatives.

Right now, we are the stronger and louder voice.

Anheuser-Busch donates big to the GOP. That is why Don Jr came out to call for an end to the boycott.

This is a culture war. We do not win it by telling ourselves that we did not sink a global conglomerate’s stock.

We win the culture war by sinking a division and sending a clear signal to the woke marketing warriors that they should not risk pandering to the groomers and pedophiles.

Bud Light is a core brand for In-Bev. No, it will not sink the conmpany, but it is a powerful statement.

Their marketing people have made their Budweiser brand synonymous with sissy girly men. Men will avoid the beer simply because they don't want to be associated with being weak and girly.

Men who drink it will be mocked. People will buy it for men just to mock them.

InBev may be fine overall, but that particular brand has been trashed, and it may never disassociate itself from being perceived as sissy/tranny beer.

This damage may be permanent.

Yes, they will be fine even if they shut the Bud Light division down. They are more than Bud Light.

Yep. Popular brands like Modelo, Corona and Pacifico are all InBev beers, but a lot of consumers don’t know that.

Have you told the people at AB this? They really need some good news.

Wonder if anyone was paid to write and disseminate this article.

Well, that's a bit of a goofy response, but ok, no I wasn't. I don't drink bud light, I don't own stock in any related company and I wasn't in any way, shape or form compensated for this post. I just keep seeing my fellow FReepers falling for what is ostensibly misinformation designed to do nothing but get us all riled up when there are far more important things to be riled up about.

Cool post for a conservative activism site. “Your most successful conservative activism in years means nothing. 😎” Except it means something to Bud. They didn’t just come out and call the new VP the new VP cause clickbait.

Pretty much my take. Well written, BTW.

Thank you. I have to ask these folks, how many major corporations have gone down due to conservative boycotts? None, that I've ever heard of, at least in recent times, and I mean the last 20-30 years I've been playing the political game.

$63 - $66 per share not much of a bump board members must be betting heavy they can pull a sham off.

They should be fine. It’s the desired outcome that the business grows and Budweiser focuses on making beer not some idiotic woke agenda.

I’m guessing the message was received.

Men will avoid the beer simply because they don't want to be associated with being weak and girly.

The thing that leads me to believe the damage won't be permanent is the fact that Americans have s short attention span. Yeah, dudes that drink it will be made fun of for a while, even so, they've been made fun of for a while in my world. Long before this ever happened. As I pointed out in the original post, it's a crappy beer. And, I know how to brew my own. If I ain't drinking what I brewed, I'm likely drinking a pint from a local craft brewery.
