BOMBSHELL! Bud Light Parent Company, AB Inbev, is Going to be Fine. BOOM! (Vanity)

I hate to say this, I really do, but Bud Light parent company AB Inbev is going to be just fine, even after this whole fake woman fiasco. I also hate saying that even the Conservative side has #fakenews, and the constant pounding of Bud Light by Conservative media outlets is kind of outrageous, and only serves to further rile us up.

Here's the truth:

I've been watching the AB Inbev stock since this whole thing started. As of March 31, the stock was sitting at $66, slightly under the 52 week high, $20 above the 52 week low. Since then, it has bounced between $63 - $66 per share. Today it is sitting at $65.

Have their sales suffered? Absolutely. Estimates have their losses from this around $6 or $7 billion. That may or may not be true. I've yet to find anything with substantive proof that is the case, however, but we can work with it. We'll call it $7 billion, which is certainly plausible with the size of the present boycott. Now, consider the fact that, last year, AB Inbev made $58 BILLION. Overall, they are a company worth $130 billion. At the end of the day, $7 billion will make a tidy little tax write off.

Will the stock sink at some point? It's entirely possible. If it's going to happen, I think it will happen sometime in July, when their 2nd quarter earnings report is released. Unfortunately, by that point, we will have mostly forgotten about the whole situation. We'll be too occupied by the next thing to come along. Americans have very, very short attention spans. So, while it may slump a little, it will rebound and probably fairly quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Bud Light. My beef with Bud Light stems less from them putting a fake woman on a beer can, and more from the fact that it's a crappy beer. The reason I'm writing this is because I'm getting so sick and tired of #CLICKBAIT #FAKENEWS Conservative so-called "News Outlets", such as Gateway Pundit, Sean Hannity among others. It's time we do better and quit listening to these clickbait machines whose only goal is to rile us up. We got enough to be riled up about without having these individuals and websites working to rile us more with the claims they are making.

Something to consider, anyhow.

Yes, they will be fine even if they shut the Bud Light division down. They are more than Bud Light.

Something to consider is how they dominate markets with swill that anyone with any respect for their body would not ingest!

the point is to send a message, 6-7 Billion is a message to shareholder that they best start yanking some chains.

I don't think that's how tax write-offs work. And are you saying that every company would benefit from losing $7 billion in expected sales?

Exactly! There are so many, much better quality, decent priced beers to drink. Even better, brew it at home!

They may be fine in the long run but be assured this is a lesson the industry won’t soon forget. I doubt we will be seeing more breweries positioning themselves with trannies.

And that’s why monopolies arise. When you control so many aspects of the beverage industry you can pretty much tell huge swaths of the customer base to eff off. For a while.

That’s where fascism comes in. To prevent little competition

One thing I have seen in 40 years in the markets - stocks may not react as you expect them to, certainly not in the short-term.

Right now, because of banks failing and fears of recession, it seems stock pickers are flocking to consumer brands - “recession-proof, reliable cash-flows, etc”. InBev may benefit from that trend.

But that doesn’t matter. Bud is certainly in the corporate lime-light now, and their CEO and management are, without a doubt, on the hot seat, both publicly, and in the board room.

Moreover, even if I was the only person in the world “boycotting” - I would still do it. I don’t need Bud Light to survive, and I have lots of other choices.

No, I'm saying for AB Inbev, it's a hiccup. It certainly isn't going anywhere and, even if it did, as someone pointed out above, it wouldn't hurt AB Inbev. It's going to affect them, which is precisely why they are in damage control. But it won't be long term. When they emerge from it, they will be just fine, unlike the bogus claims being made by these so-called "media" outlets.

I don't think that's how tax write-offs work.

It isn't. Losing multi millions is a revenue loss, not a tax writeoff. It may have a small impact on total earnings so yes this won't put AB out of biz. It's still nothing to be proud of for the gal that started this, ruining a brand and losing millions, not a good resume builder.

You don’t get to write off business that doesn’t come in. If a burger joint has a show month and can’t attract customers… think that gets a write off ?

Fagggt beer.

certainly not in the short-term.

Which is why I said if there is a downturn, it will likely be in July, after 2nd quarter earnings are released.

Bud is certainly in the corporate lime-light now, and their CEO and management are, without a doubt, on the hot seat, both publicly, and in the board room.

And in January, it was a horny cop in the hot seat, February it was a chinese spy ballon, March was Trump and his indictment, April was a fake woman on a beer can. It's May now, and we're on to the next space on our 2023 bingo card. Americans have a short attention span.

Sometimes when you buy the dip, it’s Pier 1 imports, Solyndra, Toys “R” Us, etc.
