We now know that Vitamin D supplementation provides substantial benefit in terms of reducing the risk of admission to intensive care during the Corona virus pandemic. 72% is the probable figure. Certainly substantial.

And it probably provides a substantial protection against death. 51% is the probable figure.

I have been taking 5000 units daily for 21 years. No flu in that time. No colds. Got WuFlu but killed it off with megadose of D3 in around about 6 hours. Ditto wife and daughter.
________

Way to go!!! And way to do it on long term D3. Me ... I have been doing maga dose D3/K2 for only 3-4 years.

That is the brand Walmart sells.

Good dosage amounts...but, some docs, who’ve been recommending Vit D, for a looong time....suggest taking only the oily, gelcap form...not the tablet or capsule form, of D.

🤷‍♀️

You can find the K2 sold, separately. More of a pain, though, to take two pills.

How would you know, if you had an asymptomatic case? I only know one person who gets tested regularly now, a nurse with high risk and exposure factors.

A vitamin D deficiency is linked with all sorts of health problems.

I was on carbamazepine medicine for 20 years to help control my epileptic seizures. It is believed that carbamazepine can destroy Vitamin D over time. I now have moderate to severe arthritis. Carbamazepine has been around since mid 1970's, and I'm surprised my vitamin D level was not routinely analyzed since I started taking the drug in 1997.

Cambell may have a PhD but that does not make him a ‘Doctor’.

Here are some facts about Nurse Cambell and his misrepresentation about ivermectin

So says the anonymous $hot $hill with a famous bio lab in his/her FR name.

🙄

Good grief!!! The Ph.D. absolutely makes him a doctor. Did you never take history or Latin in high school? The Ph.D. is a doctorate in philosophy. It is the real doctorate. It is the first doctoral degree ever from the 1600's. The term doctor comes from the Latin word for teacher - not healer, surgeon or physician. The doctorate is an academic degree. The M.D. is a nouveau professional degree for physicians who wanted hundreds of years later a title that sounded fancier than physician or blood letter. Similarily, the JD is a nouveau degree for lawyers who wanted a fancier title.

It does a disservice to FR to have posts from people who don't understand the history or Latin derivation of terms, who somehow think the title doctor has something to do healing.

Aren’t most of these vitamin supplements made in China?

Good video. It confirms what I learned about Vitamin D from Dr. Roger Seheult almost three years ago (April 21, 2020) on his Coronavirus Update 59: Dr. Roger Seheult's Daily Regimen (Vitamin D, C, Zinc, Quercetin, NAC). He starts off with a February 15, 2017 paper that covered a meta-analysis of over 11,000 subjects. The authors asked if Vitamin D could prevent acute respiratory tract infections. The answer was yes. For those with a Vit D deficiency (common in northern latitudes in winter), the Number Needed to Treat was only 4 to avoid infection, an astoundingly low NNT. It's good to see Campbell again confirming this.

Vitamin D supplementation to prevent acute respiratory tract infections: systematic review and meta-analysis of individual participant data

I started the Dr. Seheult regimen (similar to the many other COVID prophylaxis protocols) and I have not had a single respiratory infection since. I have always had one or two colds per year with most progressing to bronchitis and, in 2019, progressing to walking pneumonia. So I'm a believer in Vit D, zinc, NAC, Vit C, Quercetin, melatonin, and Black Seed Oil.

If a person’s wife had covid and he wasn’t sick, maybe he was asymptomatic.

Here is the Adjusted Odds Ratio chart. Left of the "1" vertical line indicates that was not a random effect.

If a person’s wife had covid and he wasn’t sick, maybe he was asymptomatic.

My younger son got COVID in 2020 and my wife got sick soon 🔜 after. All 4 of us tested positive. My son and wife were hospitalized, and they decided my wife was going to die. She survived.

My older son and I were asymptomatic. Six months later I asked our doctor to test the two of us for antibodies, because I didn’t trust the COVID tests. He said we had very high levels of antibodies.

That’s great. My wife had hers checked a couple months ago and it was very low. We figured since we normally spend a lot of our days outside it’d be good. Will get mine checked at next physical.
