I was surprised to learn something recently about the topic of this thread.
A friend of mine reported that he tried some locally bought (at a smoke shop) delta 8 gummies. Though delta 8 is a supposedly milder form with delta 9 being the regular, stronger stuff, my friend reported to me that, after 1 gummie (100mg), he was too stoned to drive (he was at home though). This guy also said he hasn't smoked a joint in many years and never takes even over-the-counter drugs unless his doctor insists. He said he ate this gummie more as a lark than because he thought would actually feel anything. He described his experience as possibly a little too "strong."
The bottom line from this report is that pot is now basically legal in 30 states...even in some states with very strict pot laws. This means that anyone can waltz into a smoke shop and walk away with a container of completely legal potent ingestibles.
Do youse guys know anything about this? What are your thoughts?
That’s pretty much what we did. You have to keep the oil temps under 200. It’s a lot of standing around waiting and watching. We used the canning kitchen in the basement because there is quite a smell generated.
My next project is to make CDB oil. That stuff is expensive
The few times I did it…I ran a power cord into the shed. It stinks to high heaven. In the end, I made chocolates. They were nice to nibble on in the evenings.
Nope. But in Colorado and other places most employers have stopped testing. They would never be able to hire otherwise because not enough people can pass the test. One of the worst things to happen to this state (besides same day voter registration) is legalized pot and now mushrooms. I have had people walk into the hospital to visit family smelling so strongly of pot it makes me ill. They had to be smoking and driving
I use a cbd/thc balm for my back.
L5-S1 is shot.
This balm actually works, and I can finally sleep at night.
No high whatsoever.
It’s incredibly easy to grow. Don’t use pots. It gets root bound quickly. I have an endless amount of seeds because my cousin didn’t kill the males on his batch but they are not feminized of course. We can take them to seed swaps in the area. I just remembered I still have a garbage bag of bud from a plant we sent up to him. Growing is pretty common in this part of Appalachia.
If you don’t smoke weed, it piles up quickly. I have a vape gimmick that uses plant material but it is a pretty inefficient system although safer. I relegated it to a drawer somewhere.
I didn’t feel much of anything, though I have a pretty high tolerance.
I think everybody is a little different.

Agree. Will say that all to whom I’ve recommended the brand/dose have reported great results.
Also, bedroom should be dark. No tv, no nightlight etc. Blue light interferes with circadian rhythm and natural melatonin release, which is critical to sound REM sleep.
Most say pots and grow inside but I’d rather use good old fashioned sunshine.
I’ve heard it’s easy, but sounds complicated. Might have to put the wife on some books.
Isn’t vaping similar to a bong? I haven’t seen one in ages.
I will check into this brand. I value a good night’s sleep like nothing else. The older I get the more important it seems.
Our room is dark with no nightlight, and I wear an eye shade also. My problem arises if I wake up to use the restroom, and can’t get back to sleep.
Delta_8 is the THC that exists in the Hemp plant. It is chemically extracted and processed. Delta_9 is the THC that exists in the Marijuana plant. It is consumed by smoking the flower of the plant - natural and unprocessed. Both plants are Cannabis. Delta_9 (traditional weed) is available in dozens of strains with indica/saliva/terpenes that run the gamut of effects from medicinal to purely recreational. Delta_8 is what it is. It’s too bad these get confused.
I just got a briefing from my company lawyer. He said they can and do test for Delta 8 and 9. Since its still illegal under federal law, he said we would be fired for coming up hot.
Indeed look how stoner star are doing magnets for every loser on the move.
Here in California it stands out as the biggest s**t hole in the country.
In Minnesota our now Democrat controlled Legislature is hell bent to legalize marijuana not to mention hand drivers licenses to illegals and allow abortion without restriction. However, the state spends millions to curtail smoking and vaping citing their grave health hazards and to crack down on driving under the influence of alcohol. Doesn’t smoking marijuana have similar heath risks? Smoking tobacco is banned in state parks, but could one soon light up a joint in a state park with impunity?
That’s interesting.
It is a problem to be argued by two larcenaries of opposing lawyers earning fees over a resolved controversy.
It is surprisingly easy to grow. You do have to kill the males and that is hard to figure out initially. We have some specialized fertilizer that we use but any will work. You finish the grow with molasses.
The plants have a very intense smell. The state police bring in choppers to check for compliance but mine are hidden by the house and garage so they ignore me.
The vape gimmick converts the plant matter(bud) to steam using magic I think. I think most people use oil to vape which doesn’t sound healthy to me.
“ Weed screws up your lungs terribly so I don’t use it to get high.”
But it’s all natural! That was the claim. After demonizing tobacco the insanity of legalizing pot is just stupid. I’ve never seen anyone take a lung full breath of tobacco and hold it, but I’ve seen many, nay most pot heads do it. Increases the buzz they say! Stupid on a grand scale!
We are seeing a lot of substance induced admissions in the hospitals. Surprisingly with 60 70 and 80 year old patients. I am surprised at the age of people trying THC. Some of it is under medical marijuana but some of it is also from these stories. I have researched it a lot so I know what I am facing with these patients.
Apparently in some agricultural bill passed in the last several years, it is legal to have and sell products with THC provided they see Uber 0.3% ratio by weight. These also must be products derived by hemp (as there is an agricultural use for this) as opposed to marijuana plant.
Because of this a lot of this loop hole was exploited and edible THC companies came on line. Originally starting with delta 8 which is a far less potent THC derivative various shops like smoke shops began selling. Recently there is an uptrend of delta 9 as this also can be passed through this loophole. Delta 9 is the principle molecule that gives the typical THC experience. So people are buying these gummies that weigh a couple grams that allow a milligrams woeful to weight of THC to be ingested. Unlike smoking which produces effects immediately and allows control of the experience we are seeing a lot of people who ingest a hell of a lot of THC feel no effect and consume more short of the time effects via ingestion would be felt. And they are getting a hell of a response.
After researching the toxicology of things apparently there is some loose difference between the type of THC effect on people. Some describe muscle relation and mild euphoria (the so called body high) and some experience the psychoactive effects of loosening of inhibition, euphoria and giddiness. The so called head high. According to research it’s not the delta enantiomer (this is related to potencey) but the plant base uses to procure the THC. Apparently a strain called indica is more body response and Sativa is more psychoactive. There are some hybrids that present both effects.
What is fascinating to me is that there is far more acknowledgment by patients that they are using THC. The question is has it always been so and there is just no taboo or counterculture anymore (like tattoos) or is there increasing use based on availability and social acceptance.
The delta molecules will turn a cannabis drug screen positive
My wife took some last year I was hoping it would make her dance on the table in her underwear and stood within 20 minutes she was asleep on the couch
