I was surprised to learn something recently about the topic of this thread.
A friend of mine reported that he tried some locally bought (at a smoke shop) delta 8 gummies. Though delta 8 is a supposedly milder form with delta 9 being the regular, stronger stuff, my friend reported to me that, after 1 gummie (100mg), he was too stoned to drive (he was at home though). This guy also said he hasn't smoked a joint in many years and never takes even over-the-counter drugs unless his doctor insists. He said he ate this gummie more as a lark than because he thought would actually feel anything. He described his experience as possibly a little too "strong."
The bottom line from this report is that pot is now basically legal in 30 states...even in some states with very strict pot laws. This means that anyone can waltz into a smoke shop and walk away with a container of completely legal potent ingestibles.
Do youse guys know anything about this? What are your thoughts?
You take Delta 8 to sleep, not drive. It’s like taking a Benadryl.
Unless I am wrong, this means that there is nothing standing between the American public and a permanent high.

I've only taken a Benedryl a couple of times and it always knocks me out. Not my favorite.
And candy for the kids as well.! Lets all get stoned.
As of 1/1/23 the governor of Kentucky has prescribed pot for my arthritis. I think there are 20 odd maladies the governor has decided can be treated with dope. He has intimated that we Kentucky residents should drive to Michigan and pick up our allowable 8 ounces and bring it home. Personally, I think dope and gambling have become the American bread and circuses.
A stoner is happy and will do whatever the Democrats tell him to do. It’s definitely dumbing down of America. You won’t fight back if you’re stoned.
Delta 8 gives you the body high of THC. Delta 9 gives you the mind high of THC.
That’s what’s got me wondering. Let’s just say it’s a mild undetectable high. Who’s to stop the entire country from getting stoned all the time? Kids are stoned and mom’s too stoned to notice.
A friend of mine who has been smoking weed since the 60s has made similar claims. He is swearing up and down that much of it is now laced with Fentanyl. He claims much of it now has a “chemical” taste that has appeared only recently in the last year... He says he first noticed it when they started handing out free samples of the gummies. He said right away he could tell it was not just THC, far too strong and a different kind of high than just THC.
My buddy said that this was a full-on mind high, with his creativity and imagination firing on all cylinders.
Are you speaking from personal experience or did a close friend tell you;-)? Or is this something you read?
My cat lady and pathological freak of an older sister once handed me a bottle of Benadryl as I went to leave after a 10 minute visit due to extreme onset of an allergic reaction during one of my last and very few visits to her pig sty...
Good God. If it's laced with fentanyl...sheesh. Very addictive.

I use it for sleep. I don’t do gummies (too expensive). I use the oil. I use CDB oil as well and THC oil topically for arthritis.
By the time the Delta 8 kicks in hard, I am asleep.
Do you find it effective for arthritis?
Was told 100mg was on the package.
So far so good. I pitched in baseball and I have chronic issues with my right elbow and they have gone away. Same with Achilles Tendons and left patella. We converted the entire crop (4 plants) to coconut oil and store it in the refrigerator. You have to apply it everyday.
Weed screws up your lungs terribly so I don’t use it to get high.
