Prince Harry has expressed doubt over the official account of how his mother, Princess Diana, died in a car crash.
"There's a lot of things that are unexplained," he said in an ITV interview about his memoir, Spare.
Prince Harry said he had been left with a "post-traumatic stress injury" after his mother's death in 1997 and had struggled to accept she had died.
He also spoke of wanting to reconnect with his family, but blamed the UK press for creating "conflict".
Harry spoke of the emotional impact of the death of his mother and in his book describes returning to the scene of the car accident in Paris.
He said: "I'd always imagined the tunnel was some treacherous passageway, inherently dangerous but it was just a short, simple, no frills tunnel. No reason anyone should ever die inside it."
He saw no point in reopening inquiries into the car accident - but questioned the official conclusions about the night of the crash.
A 2008 inquest found Diana was unlawfully killed partly due to the "gross negligence" of her driver who had been drunk and driving at excessive speed.
In the ITV interview, Prince Harry said that the tunnel posed "no danger of anybody losing control even after a drink or a couple of drinks… [It is] almost physically impossible to lose control of a vehicle unless you are completely blinded at the wheel," implying that distraction from the paparazzi may have caused the driver to crash.
"The people that were predominantly responsible for it, all got away with it," he said.

I saw a documentary about Wallis Simpson that was rather interesting. They said in it she was not in love with him but was rather playing a game...along with her then husband who was happy with her philandering with the future king. She eventually got her “King”, but then no throne. By then her ex-husband, whom she did truly love, was done with her, and had moved on and she was forever entrapped with this man that she didn’t actually love. She created her own prison.

There’s a chubby, old gruff English guy in this documentary. He has some great putdowns about her and King Edward if you ever care to wade through it.

If you want to see what that romance was like to those nearby, pick up the first two volumes of the the Chips Channon Diaries. I enjoy that period of British history (1910-1945) and have read other diaries of the era. Chips was a wealthy American bounder who married the Guinness heiress, was a part time fag, an MP and the biggest social climber in the British royal circles.
It is out with a great job of editing and he has an abundance of vile opinions.

Sadly, Diana was framed. Car accidents in tunnels are common by framers in history. Thankfully, Charles is the fake king, since William of Orange (1650-1702) bullied his way into the royalty and kicked out the genuine royals whose family memebers are still alive today.
