Anne Heche’s oldest son has reportedly revealed what he believes is the value of the late actress’s estate.

According to Homer Laffooon, Heche allegedly died with approximately $400,000 to her name, per court documents obtained Tuesday by the Daily Mail. Laffoon reportedly said in his filing that his “best estimate on the value of all [Heche’s] personal property is $400,000.”

Laffoon, 20, also reportedly revealed that his mother lived in an apartment and did not own a home, alleging in the paperwork that she “did not have any interest in real property at the time of her death.”

People like to paint Rob Gronkowski as a dumb frat boy (and he seems to enjoy the characterization) but from the day he began making money, he put it away, didn’t buy cars, houses, new homes, or even new clothes.

He invested it all, and said that he has never touched a cent of any paycheck he got from the NFL.

If true, sounds pretty smart to me.

She should have had far more then $400k.

I would think so. Maybe she pissed it all away or was taken advantage of. If she was invested in annuities for guaranteed income, the principle would be surrendered upon her death..

She had 97 TV & movie credits since 1991 or so, some of these are for multi-episode guest roles on TV. I am a little bit suprised if she “only” has $400k.

There is some irony to such a situation.

After all , Hollywood idiots constantly lecture us about how we need to celebrate diversity, and push for rights for so-called LGBT peoples.

And yet they would Blacklist one of their own , who at the time identified as one of those so-called LGBT types.

True, but she was already real damaged before Hollywood.

Yep Cali and NYC are crap fest for cost of living

As I said wouldn’t even give consideration to anything under 1/2 mil a year and no guarantee I’d go even if offer was that.

It’s an estate and it’s a legal matter. Public knowledge.

No one would dispute that is a lot for most people, but surprising for a well-known actress.

He’s in good company. Ruby Laffoon was Governor of Kentucky from 1931-1935. Ruby Laffoon was the one, who named Harlan Sanders as a Kentucky Colonel.

Actually, you are correct. Now that I think about it, this kind of information used to be found within a certain section of the newspaper. They would also list recent marriages, divorces and who’s starting what kind of business where?

Since I am a Man w/o a paper these days, it stands to reason I would see such info online now, whether I was expecting to see it or not.

My nephew is a computer security wonk living in Florida who works for a large multinational. Pulling down about $300k, has turned down all offers from his employer and some competitors to move to CA.

No will? The govt will take everything.

Nope. Every state has laws of intestate succession that spell out who your heirs are if you have no will.

But without a will, it is likely that the lawyers will get everything.

I knew Homer’s father in college, before he moved to CA, met Anne, and became a dad. He was a solid, likeable sort of guy, hope he is still a presence in his son’s life.

I have known many very wealthy individuals over the years, who were children of the Great Depression and who became wealthy by working blue collar jobs for 40+ years and never spending anything. Many people whose families lost everything in the Great Depression saved money for the rest of their lives because they were afraid that they could someday lose everything again.

Generally, their children had no problem spending it all after their parents died.

Okay. The lawyers then. If you care about your heirs don’t die intestate.
