As per Wikipedia the 2020 census showed that the population of Jackson was 78.55 % Black. Kinda like Detroit. And Flint. The numbers don’t lie. Nor do the results.

In the past five years, the old white guys who did the maintenance at water and sewer plants, have finally said, “This is it. I’ve had enough”! And, they retired.
Most of the guys who knew how things worked and knew what maintenance needed to be performed on a regular basis, and made sure it was done were being put out to pasture. Or, they were given a young new “woke” and college-educated supervisor who thought they were better informed on how things should be done. So, maintenance hasn’t been done at these places. Expect more failures. Because the new diversity hires think someone else should actually have to do the work. They are just there to fill a quota and collect their check.
I never noticed they ever existed in Mexico and I lived down there for almost 10 years. But I’m a “privileged” white Mexican, so what do I know?
We call them “prietos”. And that mostly refers to dark skinned people in general.

Officials discovered a leak in the 36-mile Upper Feeder pipeline, which delivers water from the Colorado River to Southern California, earlier this year.
More than 4 million residents in Los Angeles County will be asked to suspend outdoor watering for 15 days next month while the Metropolitan Water District repairs a leak in a water pipeline.
