Founding Fox News Channel anchor Uma Pemmaraju has died at age 64.
Pemmaraju was on the air when Fox News launched on Oct. 7, 1996. At the time, Pemmaraju was one of the only Indian-American anchors to reach national prominence, and she was beloved by viewers and Fox News colleagues alike.
"We are deeply saddened by the death of Uma Pemmaraju, who was one of FOX News Channel’s founding anchors and was on the air the day we launched. Uma was an incredibly talented journalist as well as a warm and lovely person, best known for her kindness to everyone she worked with. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her entire family," FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said.

Cause of death unknown
Very sad to hear… always remembered her gorgeous eyes.
I don’t remember her at all. I was still working then, and maybe she was on in the daytime.
I remember her well. Go with God Uma, you did a good job.
The name rang a loud bell in my head. RIP Uma.
My brother thought she was the most beautiful woman!
No cause of death = Vax. Thanks Fauxi.
“No cause of death = Vax.”
Didn’t they pull SADS out of their asses to cover this issue?
I remember her..damn that sucks RIP
Any other bells in your head you’d like to tell us about 🤣
That is do sad.
Wow
She was beautiful and I wondered where she had gone.
Rest in Peace

Sadly that’s the conclusion I come to all the time when I hear of “cause of death not listed”.
We will never know and sadly we’ll see far more of this...and worst, it was forced!
How sad - I really liked her.
I do too. But it is so strange all of the news anchors that have died working at Fox News. Tony snow. The redheaded news anchor for fox business, Can’t remember his name but he was on a wheelchair and was part of Hume round table panel ...I know there’s a couple more but I can’t think of their names. While the other stations still have all of their nasty grungy evil newscasters! Tony Snow’s death was a dagger to the heart. I miss him he was a good fair and balanced reporter.
I remember her. She was a real professional. This was when Fox News was mostly “hard news” before they went to mostly commentary.
I also miss Molly Falconer, who died in 2021.
But the one anchor who I miss the most, and my all-time favorite, Linda Vester. She is apparently no longer in the “news” business.
Whatever happened to Laurie Duhe?
She went into public speaking gigs about her long time battle with alcoholism.
I thought I read she had substance abuse issues.
