Yes, it’s real alright, just not going to launch just yet. At least not fully.
As FES0844 said, “Birth pangs, look up.” The first part of his second coming (for us) launches Daniel’s 70th Week AKA the horrific 7-year tribulation. Not for a few decades yet IMO. What we’re seeing now is rumblings and previews of coming attractions.
Actually I think there’s going to be surprising reversals in what would otherwise be worldwide disasters. I believe instead we are soon going to see a worldwide repentance and coming to Jesus as Jesus himself told us in Luke 14:23. I believe Luke 14:23 needs to happen before his coming (Matt. 36-44) and the launch of worldwide terror and horror.
Jesus told us that at the first part of his second coming, people will be eating and drinking and getting married - a picture of good times and prosperity (Matt. 24:38). That, Jesus warned, is when he will come suddenly as a thief and what follows on earth is unimaginable horror wherein everyone on earth is killed except for a relatively small group of Jews hiding in the mountains.
As Katherine Kuhlman used to say, “The Bible is more up to date than tomorrow’s newspaper.”
I watched that yesterday afternoon. A very sobering video.
From Dr. Peterson’s video, what Mr. Yon has to say, to me, it appears that we are close to the times described in the Book of Revelation. Mr. Yon states that there is a ‘triangle’ of famine, war, and pandemics. Where one appears, the other soon appear and they feed off each other. We are looking at extreme famine caused in part, by satanically inspired governments taking farmland out of production, while in the midst of the Russian-Ukraine war which is ALREADY cutting world grain production in a huge way. Starving people more easily succumb to illness. Countries fight over scarce resources. Historically, when one ‘empire’ is in ascent and another in decline, this usually does not pass peacefully. China and Russia, both nuclear armed, and economically powerful, on the ascent; US and Europe, nuclear armed, and economically powerful, on the descent; at odds. What could go wrong? It certainly seems like the stage is set for Revelation.
I also happened to watch a video by Pastor John McArthur on Romans 1. He talks about when God abandons a nation. He discusses three signs that God has abandoned a nation and that nation is under Divine Judgement. (NOTE: A nation, but NEVER His Remnant.)
The first sign is in Roman 1:24-25, the ‘sexual revolution of the 60s and 70s. The next sign is in Romans 1:26-27, the affirmation of homosexuality, first among women, then men. The third sign is in Romans 1:28-32, a depraved mind, a mind that no longer works, accepting lies as truth, celebrating wrong and persecuting righteousness.
Our nation (be it US, Canada, Europe, etc.) is under Divine Judgement. Once under such Judgement, our nation is doomed, HOWEVER, there is a Remnant who are His, who’s job it is to continue to preach the Gospel because some of His Elect have not yet heard the Word.
I have been praying for that outcome, daily.
I think God is going to answer your prayers very soon.
