Hell, just rename them all, but with numbers only. You can say, “I grew up in 73418945.”

Every word will offend somebody.

Did they ask all the women in Wisconsin named “Amber” what they thought about their name being appropriated for a mere lake? I’ll bet half of them are really upset and offended.

When you consider signage that has to be replaced and the many officials involved, probably a fair amount.

Are they going to do a referendum to see how many NAs are actually offended, or is a small activist elite going to make the decision for them?

I ask because every time they’ve done a survey as to whether Natives found the Redskins name offensive, a vast majority - about 80 per cent - have NOT found it so.

Someone should tell them this is offensive to transsupremacists.

What they're really doing is erasing Native American history.

Erase the Indian, keep the land.

This is exactly what they’re doing.

Aboriginal Americans will be virtually invisible to most of the country, because we’re removing all references to them and their culture and history.

These teams/places that have Indian names...This was a way to promote the history of the Indians....promoted by Roosevelt??

Okay....Poof...you're gone. Basic stupidity.

Who considers “squaw” a derogatory term? Is “frau” one too? “Senora”? When white people use it it simply means “indian woman”. But hey, there’s the problem. White people say it. So it’s bad.

The stupidity of the left is a bottomless pit, as is their constant search for something to offend them! Who else could write about such a horribly offensive word and never mention what it is. So incredibly stupid! You would think people would be embarrassed to publicly display what morons they are. I wonder what they’ll want INDIA to change it’s name to?

I didn’t know about Roosevelt, but this is true. And the mascots didn’t demean the Indians. They celebrated their power, warrior virtues, and culture and history.

I know some of the “squaw” places in Oregon were changed years ago.
