Even if a real war starts, I don’t expect it to last very long; no Westerners are going to defend Ukraine, and they’ll sue for peace quickly. This seems to just be Putin flexing; the news seems to indicate Russians may have entered areas in the east that Ukraine lost in 2014.

The diplomatic way to resolve this would have been to send Joey and Pootie out behind the barn with dull paring knives. The idiots on TV are claiming this is a full scale invasion and Russia is going to occupy and take over Ukraine. They completely refuse to see the territories that were Russian simply going back to Russia and that ends that.
If we can resupply the Ukrainians as fast as their equipment, fuel and ammo is destroyed, they’ll have a fighting chance once the invasion starts.
