OTTAWA—Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed an executive order on Friday authorizing the Canadian Mounted Police to have all geese rounded up and shot for honking in solidarity with truckers. The "freedom convoy" of truckers has been a thorn in the tyrannical Canadian government's side since January 29th, but Trudeau and his cabinet are confident that annihilating avian support will demoralize the truckers and send them packing.
Mounties began chasing geese on Saturday, following them around with burlap sacks and wacky oversized nets. Captured geese are being blindfolded, lined up, and shot—sometimes in mid-honk.
"We now view the Canadian Goose as an enemy of the state," said Trudeau in a statement over Zoom. "If you see something, say something. We must end this fascist honking once and for all."
Trudeau, visibly shaken by honking geese, claims the attack on his tyranny has exacerbated his fake COVID diagnosis. "I may never be able to meet with the truckers face to face and it's all because of these hateful geese, not because I'm afraid," he said.
Minister of Health Jean-Yves Duclos echoed his dear leader's sentiments when he spoke with the press on Monday morning.
"Trucks honk. People who love trucks honk their horns. Geese honk," he said. "Get it?"
According to sources, Trudeau is expected to stay in hiding until the Geese migrate north in the spring.

I’m reading this in my car at lunch. Two of the geese literal walked behind my car and started honking while I read this.
The blindfolds are an especially nice touch

Damn, as I am reading this a flock of Canadian geese flew overhead going south towards Miami.

If it weren't for the poop, I could tolerate the honking and the hissing and whatnot.
But the poop is over the top. So to speak.

The proper name is Canada Goose. Geese are neither Canadian or American or any other nationality.
If your area of Virginia is visited by these Geese you will know that they descend sometimes in the hundreds and that they all poop like a small dog.
Think about hundreds of little dogs pooping on your lawn and driveway and walkway.
Patio etc.
Can’t get the wife to pluck their feathers so killing them for food is a fail.

One of original jokes came when people at the historical early American buildings outdoor museum Greenfield Village the picnic table seating area next to the fried chicken lunch counter was host to annoying geese. They would push at people's legs and bite at any dropped food scraps.
One goose kept jumping onto the table top. Finally he leapt forward and grabbed the chicken breast from a man's plate and then hissed at him and took off.
I said the only solution for this is for the next day a sign to be posted: Special Today: Cooked Goose.

I think there is a misunderstanding. Trudeau’s aide said to round up and shoot all the honkeys.
Old fart golfer chiming in. I've played many golf courses infested with Canadian geese. I was attacked once a few years ago. My guess is the goose had eyesight problems and thought I was a threat. The goose took off once it hit my golf bag. That said, domesticated geese and swans are equal to guard dogs.

I’ve been attacked by geese and seen people attacked by swans. I have read that black swans are even more aggressive!.............
Many moons ago my parents had to offload their German Shepard to one of their parents that had domesticated geese. The geese let the dog know who was in charge..
