'Rust' armorer blames Alec Baldwin for fatal shooting because he failed to turn up to a 'cross draw' training session in lawsuit against firm that she claims supplied live ammunition instead of dummy rounds

The armorer for doomed western 'Rust' - where a cinematographer was shot dead by a live bullet in October - is laying part of the blame on gunman Alec Baldwin for failing to attend a training session.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed filed a lawsuit in a Bernalillo County, New Mexico court on Wednesday that claims Baldwin, 63, ignored a request to attend a 'cross draw' session about a week before the tragedy.

The rookie armorer also faulted assistant director David Halls for failing to follow set protocol when he allegedly handed Baldwin the weapon without first calling on her to inspect it, according to the lawsuit.

Difficult to blame her for proactively going after others - with all the bus tire marks on her back.

This girl needs to Go HAM on Baldwin or she is finished. She has to show that she followed procedures and that the director, and Baldwin ignored her or that they refused to allow her to do her job. Baldwin will throw her under the bus to save his sorry hide.

One of the first reports that came out right after the shooting was that the crew had been target shooting with that gun in their down time. Haven’t heard anything about that lately.

Baldwin problem is he was executive producer of the project.....not just another actor.

Good move on the armorer’s part. I guess she decided she wasn’t going to be the scapegoat for the homicide.

Baldwin shot Hutchins. There is no getting around that. That should be manslaughter right there.
The only questions remaining to be answered are how a live cartridge got into the cylinder and how the live chamber was indexed so that it would come into battery when the revolver was cocked.

Aside from the fact there should have never been a live round on set, he’s still the one who pointed a gun at a person and pulled the trigger. Whether he meant to or not

Practicing, playing around, or intentional, he’s still the one who killed her

All these maneuvers are about perceptions. The cops and DA already understand the legal ramifications or everything.

Not checking the weapon before going on the set puts Baldwin in a very bad spot.

Noody in Hollywood would take a real gun without inspecting it......like Baldwin did.

The armorer turned over her phone to the Santa Fe police, unlike Baldwin.

She's got a strong case....except for one thing...she put 4 bullets from her pocket and 2 from a box. The trick would be to put it in the right position so that when he cocked the gun and pulled the trigger. In other words...not Russian Roulette.

Each cartridge should have fingerprints...I'm starting to think Hall...the dude who said cold gun...because he wasn't suppose to be handing it to Baldwin.

BUT....ultimately, Baldwin should have checked it...and is TOTALLY responsible for her death.

Exactly. Most lib-inspired gun-laws say very clearly - if you are holding the gun, you are responsible for whatever happens when that gun discharges.

There was a story of the srmorer’s father supplying some reloads for a shoot, somewhere. Unshot reloads were allegedly taken by this supplier without permission. What happened to them? Who knows?

I saw someone on here say it first: This was a union dispute. The gal who got killed was a scab. They set Ba1dwin up as a dummy.

There's still the pesky little matter of LIVE AMMUNITION ON THE SET.

There should not have been any live ammunition within a mile of that movie set. If for any reason she brought live ammunition onto the set at any time, then the bus tire marks are well deserved.

“Baldwin problem is he was executive producer of the project.....not just another actor.”

True, BUT WAY more importantly is that Alec “dropped the hammer” on the gun that killed someone. Actually the “gun” didn’t kill anyone. The live round didn’t kill anyone, Alec Baldwin KILLED someone.

No need for a trial.

Alec is GUILTY of “involuntary manslaughter” PERIOD! FULL STOP! (a felony)

https://spectator.org/new-mexico-v-alec-baldwin/

“But, based on the holding in the Gilliam case and New Mexico’s statutory law, it would seem that a persuasive argument could be made in support of a prima facie case against Alec Baldwin for involuntary manslaughter.”

Also, if you bought the gun, stored it ‘improperly,’ provided ammo or transportation, communicated with the shooter, blah, blah, blah.
