No surprise that a liberal man like Baldwin blames a woman.

Maybe getting close to the question is: Was it a horrible coincidence or did one or more person arrange for it to happen. Then there’s the question of motive.

A few weeks before the rust shooting I was watching an old Edward G Robinson movie. Edward G was pointing a gun and yelling orders. It was a medium shot with pointer and pointee but in frame. He WAS NOT aiming directly at the actress but very slightly off to her left. That flick was shot in the 1930s. Arec broke every movie set gun handling rule in the book. Not newly emplaced rules but hoary old ancient ones.

Also, the video surveillance system on the set wasn’t working on that day.

Hmmm, where have I heard that before?

My dad was an executive at an insurance company and what always got you in trouble was when they didn’t follow their published policies and procedures. I suspect firearm best practices in the movie industry and whether they were followed will be a major factor.

I actually downloaded and read the protocols they are supposed to use.

She has claimed they would not let her on the set because of COVID. If she’d been smart, at that point, she’d have walked off the job - shutting the production down.

It’ll be interesting. Especially when the insurers get involved to pay claims.
