All's fair in love and work! Employees share the hilarious antics of their co-workers that brightened up their day

It's not everyday that a worker goes out of their way to make the whole office smile, but when it happens it's a true joy.

Now, people from around the world have shared the best examples of comical goings on in the workplace - with the very best collated in a gallery by Bored Panda.

One good humoured grocery store worker changed his own name tag to 'Kale' afterbeing bombarded with requests for the leafy vegetable, while another made a resident spider a part of the office.

Elsewhere, some builders zipped themselves into a three-way jacket, and a group of co workers pranked another making him think a pickle was a cactus.

Here, FEMAIL shares some of the best examples...

Humor in the work place can easily be misconstrued these days.

Be very careful joking around hypersensitive people. They are always looking for “perceived slights”.

Its a shame that good natured, innocent humor is becoming a potentially career ending thing.

Just saying.

I work with employers and owners every day. They are scared sh*tless an employee will make a racial/gay anti woke mistake and the company will be sued and dragged through the courts.

Many are now using outside companies to hire new employees. They do not meet the new hire until the last few interviews to give final go ahead. The hiring company weeds out potential bad apples. That is sad.

I think you’re right. The job interview process today is a multi step process with a lot of trip wires designed to elicit feelings, opinions and views of a personal nature. Employers are nervous about bringing new people into the organization, even at the expense of sacrificing competence and skills of highly qualified applicants.

Mediocrity wins out.

For example, how do we know what gender identity Herman, the Office Spider, has?

Actually working in a sort of laid-back office, but there is bullying that goes on, and there is not much that is humorous or enjoyable about being at work. Just sayin’

Do we even know for sure what his gender assigned at birth is?

“The job interview process today is a multi step process”

My nieces husband went to work for a large healthcare company as it’s chief financial officer. Mid 6 figure salary.

He had 10-11 interviews, a background check that was similar to top secret clearance. Total process was almost 6 months.

These companies want to make sure they are hiring the right person in the top slots.

Good management can inject some fun into work. The most productive places I worked in had high humor quotients. They kept the office environment loose but promoted high standards of performance, celebrated team accomplishments, recognized talent, and encouraged people to develop their skills.

No place is perfect and every office has its ups and downs. But office chemistry is very important IMO. You spend so much time there you may as well try to enjoy it.

Good point about the top slots and C-level people. Yes, careful vetting is essential as the impact of that person’s abilities/decisions can ripple through the organization in both good and bad ways. Hiring the wrong person can have profound and lasting consequences so its definitely worth putting some time and effort into vetting those folks.

Used to work with a guy that had two nicknames: “Fliptop” because of his combover that would flip over outside in the wind, and “HalfMoon”, due to the trouser malfunction when he would stoop down to pick up a tool.
