Vanity/Vent- Vaccine mandate at job… what to do??
VANITY | 12/21/2021 | Me

Posted on 12/21/2021 7:54:02 AM PST by ObozoMustGo2012

Preface: I am not looking for medical advice or help in decision making. Just venting and hoping to get an idea of how other folks in my situation are making out or how they are preparing.

So… my job has a strict vaccine mandate that is set to start Jan 4th. Basically, if I don’t load my card into the HR system which collects these, I will be fired from my job on Jan 5th… no severance. My religious exemption, originally approved at first, was ultimately denied, and they are not allowing exemptions for remote workers (like me), nor periodic testing in lieu of an injection. Despite numerous back and forth emails with HR, they are sticking to their guns (or needles) with this directive.

I was at first dead set on not getting it for the same reasons and fears that everyone else has. I was hoping that the various court challenges, etc. would put a pause on it until I found a better job, but that didn’t happen.

I would normally welcome the idea of time off (especially while living in Florida), however, IF i did find a job, I would take a significant cut in pay. Also (and most importantly) personal insurance would be too expensive per month (Thanks Obama). I have some orthopedic issues I need to have addressed in the coming year and cantt afford the premiums or deductibles on an individual Florida Blue plan.

I just moved to Florida (working from my mother’s house, job HQ in NJ) and need to afford buying a condo (housing prices are through the roof). I won’t be able to finance if I don’t have a job, and I worry I wouldn’t be able to afford monthly HOA/condo fees and taxes if I pay cash.

I am between a rock and a hard place. At this point, I am debating just getting the J&J/Janssen one and done, as the risk of side effects (as a mid-40s male) seems the least compared to the mRNA ones, and it’s more like a traditional “vaccine” compared to the gene therapy of the others.

Anyone else gone through or facing a similar situation/decision? How did you/are you managing through it and making ends meet? I am not so much worried about a salary as I am the insurance coverage (once again, thanks Obama!).

[Nope. Depending on the state they can deny you.]

I assume since I spent the majority of the past 18 months in NJ, it would be filed there.

NJ and a remote worker. Pharma by chance? If so, it’s a nightmare. I work for one of the big three distributors. No jab. No job. Even if you are 100% remote. I still interact with clients and will need to travel so it’s forced. We’re also a govt contractor so Biden has us over a barrel there. I took the J and J and so far they are not requiring boosters. We lost some folks who refused but tried to work with folks on exemptions. Unfortunately if you still need to interact face to face they are getting rid of you because you are unable to do your job.

This is tyranny and authoritarianism run amok. They won't stop and it will get worse unless people stop this now. Take New York State for example...(or Austria, or Australia...)

Is it even legal to accept then deny after some time your religious exemption?

Let them fire you. Before hand though make it very inconvenient. Think Hillary Clinton and Lois Lerner hard drive problems. I wouldn’t work for nazis.

I work at a Tennessee state university.

They sent out an email a couple of months ago directing us to the e-forms we must complete to prove we have had two jabs. This was supposed to have been done by Dec. 8th. The TN legislature passed a law making mandates illegal BUT universities can apply for an exemption if they get federal money and that money will be put in danger unless they comply. Got an email from the university saying they would be applying for the exemption. I'm not the recipient of any federal grants, but the Biden administration dictates that anyone working in the SAME BUILDING with a federal contractor must also be vaccinated.

My work colleagues so not know my politics. I eat lunch with them in the university dining hall, and let me tell you: THEY HATE US. They think we are the dumbest, most racist group of scum that has ever existed. They are all for putting people who refuse the vaxx in internment camps.

So I'm waiting for when I get the next email with a new deadline. I will wait until the day of the deadline and put in for a religious exemption. I fully expect to get fired by stealth. I have been working on a year contract that gets renewed every August for the past 11 years. If I have to put in for the religious exemption before August, then I am expecting them to simply not renew my contract (and there won't be anything I can do about it).

Plan B is to work for the post office once the unemployment runs out. TN passed a law that you cannot be denied unemployment if you lose your job over the jab.

In my mind, I am preparing to be applying for post office jobs come August.

Since the experimental mRNA gene therapies remain in phase three clinical trials for a year and more, present a simple letter saying the employer(s) acknowledges that they requiring participation in an experiment and will accept legal liability for any claims based on the experimental product(s).Have them acknowledge by signature on a receipt of your request, and date it. I suspect many employers will balk at actually signing up for legal liability.

You will have made the effort to comply with a legal request, and they will be documented as accepting legal responsibility.

As a mid-40 male, take the j&j and be done. You’ll have a near zero risk of any serious complication (better than 1 in 250,000) and you’ll have added immunity against a disease that has killed and maimed people far healthier than you.

If someone says the J&J is dangerous, ask for examples of people who have died from taking it. You’ll get crickets. Or examples from Botswana where someone took the AstraZeneca and died the very next day.

The Biden admin is going to force it down throats. You’ll soon need one to get on an airplane. It’s lame. I understand the tendency to resist that. But at the end of the day, your financial and medical health should be your top priority.

Take it in good health and get on with your life. Its safe and you’ll be fine.

A plausible reason doctors critical of jabs are being censored is billions of dollars at stake for pharma industry. Same for why cheap treatments like Ivermectin are demonized. There need not be a conspiracy to intentionally poison people to explain it.

I too faced forced participation in the vaccine trial - no testing option, religious and medical exemptions involve so many hoops to jump through they are nearly impossible to obtain. I know, I tried (unsuccessfully) to get a medical exemption from the insanity. In fact, in a company of over 120,000 employees before I left I had not heard of a single exemption being granted. Not one.

That's right, I left. Left behind a nearly two decades long career with a company I had planned to retire from in a few more years. Fortunately I landed a better job, with better pay, better benefits, and more work flexibility. Small company, no mandates. Where my previous company was flushing itself down the woke toilet my new company is pretty much the opposite of woke. When the President of the company is also the chief engineer on the project, it is about results, not feelings.

I have no illusions that my leaving made any kind of a statement. They're a huge company, my departure wasn't even noticed. Even my immediate project team will soldier on without me and ultimately be alright. All I did was make the next several months a little harder on them. The company doesn't know, doesn't care that I'm gone. Doesn't matter to me. I know I did the right thing, and what they are doing - forcing people into compliance with experimental medical procedures - is fundamentally wrong.

You won’t get unemployment in Florida, but you may find a job.

Don’t get the J&J. It’s not a good vaccine.
It’s not a vaccine mandate. It’s a medical documentation mandate. You can be vaccinated and still be in violation.
If you want to keep the job, get vaccinated. But there is a move to file a wrongful termination class action suit when Biden finally comes out and says “There was never a mandate. It was always totally voluntary”.

I cannot disagree.

Additionally, it is clear to me that many healthcare organizations are just fine with diminishing the quality and availability of healthcare by jettisoning those who don’t comply.

When I drove from Indiana to the Gulf and back, it seemed like most of the fast food places were drive thru service only.
Not because of COVID, but because of labor shortage.

Stand your ground, encourage others to do so as well. Force them to choose between keeping you and firing you. Then, if the latter, fight it. Make them pay. Down go quietly into the night. Too many people are quiting, giving up, letting people tell you what to do, when to do it, and how. Okay, guess I am as well. :)

I am in the same boat with work. I am thinking about pulling the plug on that, but I am I my 60’s. Much harder for someone in their 40’s.

I changed careers and fields in my 40s.

Was it painful?

Very.

Was there a huge payoff eventually?

Yup.

Those who were fired for refusing vaccine mandates will be seen as true heroes in future years.

Buy a used camper and find a cheap place to put it. The housing bubble will burst. You will have to forgo most medical. Go shopping. I was without insurance five years. Paid cash at significant discounts. Call the doctor’s billing people and ask the cash price. You’ll be shocked. Also, you may be able to go “contract.”. Freep mail with a 25 word bio and I’ll see if my “pimp” can help.
