A clip has gone viral of a woman sitting at a table on her own after no one showed up to her planned dinner.
Christian Zamora, who goes by the handle ‘Kidalloy’ on TikTok, shared footage of his girlfriend’s empty dinner table in a video that’s been viewed almost 15 million times.
In it, he explained Maryann had been planning two weeks in advance for her “Friendsgiving” event, decorating her entire basement and cooking a huge feast.

“They were planning everything, everything was all set — the date, the time, and everything. They were all gonna come.
“(But) when the day came and no one was answering the group chat. No one was texting or calling, but in her mind, she thought everyone was running late. When it hit the three hour mark, she was like, ‘Yeah no one’s gonna come.’”

I agree with you. Everything looks neat and it is obvious she is prepared.
Perhaps she is a bad cook, or maybe her main course is a tofu turkey. We need a bit more information.
Stupid of her to tell the whole world that she is a loser. I would have kept that to myself.
When she advertised the Tofu Turkey, the seats became empty.
Some of us do not have family left. Or they are in other states & countries. Or are estranged from them for one reason or another.
At about her age both my parents passed away within 6 months of each other, my one brother was already gone and the other in prison (not that I’d want him at Thanksgiving...but ... family).
Now I am much older, never had children of my own and Thanksgiving this year after working the day was a ham sandwich. I texted friends Happy Thanksgiving wishes, but yea..it is a very empty holiday. Or just another day really. Christmas really won’t be much different either.
But then I have come to really like my quiet Christmas Eve in church and coming home to a Silent Night. And yes, I will work Christmas Day as usual to keep my mind off the emptiness and try to convince myself I work so others can be with their families as there will be a time when some of them might not have family around anymore.
Always be nice to people working the holiday, you just don’t know their whole story.

The writer made it sound like it was more a feast your grandmother would put on. It is not the girls fault, and yes, I do feel sorry for her. Being stiffed by friends is not fun. Been there, done that.
