A clip has gone viral of a woman sitting at a table on her own after no one showed up to her planned dinner.
Christian Zamora, who goes by the handle ‘Kidalloy’ on TikTok, shared footage of his girlfriend’s empty dinner table in a video that’s been viewed almost 15 million times.
In it, he explained Maryann had been planning two weeks in advance for her “Friendsgiving” event, decorating her entire basement and cooking a huge feast.

“My girlfriend was so excited for her first Friendsgiving but no one showed up,”

“They were planning everything, everything was all set — the date, the time, and everything. They were all gonna come.
“(But) when the day came and no one was answering the group chat. No one was texting or calling, but in her mind, she thought everyone was running late. When it hit the three hour mark, she was like, ‘Yeah no one’s gonna come.’”

Maybe they thought it was a party to binge watch “Friends.”
Woopty-frickin doo.

This would not surprise me..
We’re only hearing half of the story. Though I do note that it is Thanksgiving, not Friendsgiving. Maybe she / the friends are flaky? Or the people she invited are tiktock “friends” who she’s never actually met? Or she sent a last-minute “Be sure to bring your vax card” message?
Do I have this straight, this woman planned a Thanksgiving dinner for people she had never met in person, only on online chat?
Perhaps they should call it Thankstaking.
The only thing worse than having no one show up is having any of these strangers actually show up.
I call BS on this one.
At least there are plenty of cups
That is not a very impressive spread.
It is not the size table that would hold a “huge feast”.
Nor does that look like a dinner table as much as a folding utility table.
Different generations, I guess.
Probably told them tofurkey and kale jello was on the menu
Skinny table.
Her basement?
How creepy. Nothing says happy holidays like a basement.
Maybe it is her mom’s basement and her online ‘friends’ are just datamining foreign scammers.
My Grandparents had a small double-bungalow. Bedroom, bath, kitchen and small living room on street level. The basement had one large room and then I think a small bath and perhaps a small laundry room.
The large room had a large dining table and chairs and we had a few parties there. I was just a little kid, but I seem to recall it was poorly lit. Later on in years the parties were always at our house (larger) - but I’m guessing that was due more to my grandparents getting older, and not being able to throw a party like before.
Well, she has a very nice thoughtful boyfriend, so thats a big thing in her favor.
Maybe her friends were worried about who they would be given to. Nobody wants to be given away to someone without their approval.
Why knock her surroundings and dinner presentations? If she received commitments from friends that they will attend but then they don’t then that’s sad. However there may be other factors involved or one would hate to think this is some sort of interest grabbing ruse. Unanswered questions.
