Yeah I figured you would mention 1865.

1865 did not change the wording or meaning of the Constitution.

Can we trade you to Mexico for a couple illegals?

So the OK national guard is equivalent to the Afghan forces. The USA is not leaving OK they are demanding compliance and threatening to remove the Federal government backing of the OK forces. If you believe they will just turn over all the tanks, armoured vehicles and heavy weapons you are insane. It is more likely they send active duty troops to retrieve them or ask for some third party to do it like the UN which would make it an international peacekeeping mission with the security Council full blessing I’m sure. Imagine blue helmets going into former guard armouries what a media circus that would be. Russia and China for sure would offer to send tier one operators for the peacekeeping mission. I personally took part in disarming parts of Kosovo for the UN and NATO those Serbian and Kosovo militias also screamed these are out arms once the government fell welp no the rest of the world didn’t see it that way and we have IFOR 4 through 7 to prove that in the history books. Personally I’d love to see some good ole boy OK kick off the hot war it’s past time to get it on anyways mine as well start a half hour from my front door makes getting to the FEBA all the easier.

The words didn’t change in 1865 but the way the county has been and will run certainly has if you can’t see or accept that is on you. Please enlighten the class how we are still a limited republic? Also expand on the 10th amendment which last anyone checked is a dead letter rule has any case in modern history sent to the Fed’s ended up with the supremacy clause or the commerce clause being limited let alone over turned name one please. Lincoln was wrong he should have let the southern states go and then tried to convince them it was in their best interest to come back. Not fight a war of aggression that subsequently empowered the Fed’s to run all over the state’s. Like I said the state’s are addicted to Federal money none are going to give it up not a one. The income tax was the beginning of the end for the republic once the state’s lost the ability to keep revenue inside their borders the dice were cast. The 17th was another nail in the coffin the direct election of the state’s primary representatives has and always will be a disaster for state’s.

“ The state militia is a bunch of middle age overweight bubbas with AR15s who are not allowed to even posses belt fed machine guns let alone carry them openly.”

The private ownership of machine guns is legal in Oklahoma.

Respectfully, baloney.
If my PD can buy and own and officers posses cl3 sot items on letterhead, certainly a state militia can.

An actual constitutional militia. It will mess with the commie media narrative. Militia is a bad word.

Becoming a state militia means a huge loss of federal money, no longer getting DoD equipment, etc.. so it’s not just no longer being under federal control - it also means no more federal support.>>> It is all the money. Secession or anything like it will require major resolve by each state. Net how much would it cost to supply each with a nice AR and 10,000 rounds? 20K?

I suspect the Air Guard will lose their aircraft. I would imagine that the feds have a stranglehold in the supply chain. Aircraft need parts.

I am not sure about your post. My understanding is that the state guards get federal money in exchange for being on the recall for national emergencies as well as state emergencies. In a state emergency they report to the governor. If federalized, they report to the DoD chain of command. But I would think the state owns the equipment once it’s been procured. I could be wrong but I’m sure it’s complicated and it’s not all on loan from the feds. There was a time when state militias were just that, state militias. Federalization occurred later.

The Texas Army National Guard is almost ten times larger in terms of personnel than the Texas State Guard.

True, but the State Guard also doesn't pay anything unless you're actually called up (drills are volunteer basis), doesn't have nearly as much training/support from the State, and so on. If Texas follows Abbott's decree of no "vaccine" mandate allowed in the State, and supports that for the Guard also, and DoD kicks us out, then chances are the TXNG and State Guards would be rolled together possibly.

I agree with you. More States should opt out of the National Guard and just maintain their State Guard status.
Then Congress or the Executive cannot depend upon the National guard to fight their little silly wars.

They are in effect admitting that National Guard is NOT “the militia” like gun grabbers like to claim.

According to Founding Father George Mason, "the militia" was everyone not affiliated with the government, a stance endorsed by Thomas Jefferson and others.

Yes.
National Guard themselves claim to be “the militia” in the “history” of the institution.
Quite amusing to me.

Also reminds me of the NY politician who said the Guard wasn’t “real military”.
They can’t be consistent.

The state militia is a bunch of middle age overweight bubbas with AR15s who are not allowed to even posses belt fed machine guns let alone carry them openly.

That is an intellectually lazy and racist statement without any basis in fact. If you're trying to prop up your argument, that's a bad way to go about it. Care to post any proof of your assertion?

The only true part of his statement were the first few words about National Guard never really being militia.
Everything after that was butt fluff and navel lint.
