I see people talking about F15s and Abrams tanks. How often is a tank used in a US State? F15s only scramble over US soil when there’s an air threat and usually it’s a threat to some fed concern.
Many state, county and big city LEOs are already outfitted like the military. When I lived in FL, Seminole county had a military surplus helo with thermal and infrared visioning. Only thing missing was a machine gun hanging out the door and a few missiles strapped up underneath.

TX needs a bunch of those.
Despite the loss of funds, state NG's refusing the jab may be in the right. But we shouldn't lie about the cost.
You got it!
Ping.
Other people seem to think the Southern states and the Western states are natural allies, which is what i've been saying all along.
Yes, my error, it was billions not millions
Many pieces of equipment are hundreds of millions
Just messin’ with you. :)
OK.
I understand. I look at the resources of PC’s at that era and am still amazed what the software could do. And I did use them.
Now the OS is so bloated that is insane. And the software is so complex you need a 4 year degree on some of the apps.
Upps, was replying to wrong thread.
Totally out of comtext.
I should have been more careful.
At times I wish we could delete or remove errors and typo’s.
No problem.
It belongs to whomever is willing to outkill the other to keep it.
The federal government exercises plenary powers over the NG therefore the feds can mandate vaccinations. If a state NG loses recognition, they would have to return all military equipment and the feds would no longer pay salaries for that NG.
Now, what the states could do is encourage troops to get vaccinated and those who do so would retain their recognition. The soldiers who do not get vaccinated could be assigned to the state militia. The state would have to equip and pay for the militia. (BTW, many states already transfer retiring NG to the militia until their sixtieth birthday. No, you don’t get paid for that service.)
