They are in effect admitting that National Guard is NOT “the militia” like gun grabbers like to claim.According to Founding Father George Mason, "the militia" was everyone not affiliated with the government, a stance endorsed by Thomas Jefferson and others.

National Guard themselves claim to be “the militia” in the “history” of the institution.
Quite amusing to me.
Also reminds me of the NY politician who said the Guard wasn’t “real military”.
They can’t be consistent.
