Defense official says if the Oklahoma National Guard doesn’t comply with COVID vaccine requirements, they will no longer be “maintaining national recognition,” thus, state will no longer have a National Guard, but rather a state militia – VOA Pentagon correspondent.

Maybe not. Florida should do this too, and in fact, a lot of the Southern and Western states should do this. Take back your militias.
I read today that the Austrian police forces are resisting the lockdown of the “unvaccinated,” which the police were supposed to enforce. The only way this insanity will stop is with resistance.
Heck, most of the people in these states would probably be happy to contribute half their income to building up their militias and fighting back against federal encroachment.
Resist...peacefully. But be prepared to defend yourself.

Ultimately, will lead to a steep loss in recruitment. I don’t think too many people want to join a military unit that can’t deploy, doesn’t enable them to pursue advanced training like Ranger School, etc, and basically keeps them separate from the national mission of the military.
The Texas Army National Guard is almost ten times larger in terms of personnel than the Texas State Guard.
It’s good to see some organized objection to the vaccine mandates but it will come at a cost for the state and the OK NG.
More states should do this.

A militia cannot have modern class three military grade weapons such as full auto and post 1986 belt fed machine guns nor any destructive devices without a $200 stamp for each and every round, nor armor piercing ammo. They also cannot have Abrams tanks, MARPS or fighter jets think air national guard. It is a huge legal difference to have national sponsorship. The ATF will be expecting every last one of those Federal government weapons to be returned to the active Army armories anyone who possesses or uses a military M16 or M4 and not a member of the federally funded and sponsored national guard is a 25 year felon and you can take it to the bank the feds will demand every weapon back and throw the book at any former guard unit that doesn’t turn them in. This is not some of great they “win” and.thumb their noses at the feds, the Fed’s are playing hardball now this is serious.
They can start by catching those sneaky a letters before the infiltrate the border.

I believe most if not all States do. It’s called the Unorganized Militia. Age requirements and exceptions may vary from State to State, but if you’re not in the organized military, including the National Guard which is the organized militia, and you meet the age requirements and don’t have an exception, you’re in the unorganized militia.
The Federal Government has requirements for the unorganized militia at a national level too.
Some State “unorganized militias” are more organized than others. Ohio has the “Ohio Military Reserve”, which has gotten to be less military over the years in terms of weapon use. I think Texas has something too.
I wonder what would happen if they tried to call out the unorganized militia given most people in it don’t know they are in it.
Federal money is mostly a huge scam anyway. For every dollar they give they pile on several dollars in mandates and other stupidity.
The situation is not unlike the latter stages of the Roman empire when everyone realized Rome was just a big parasite and any other option was better. Even the barbarian invaders were easier to placate than the corrupt Roman officials.
