A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Joe Biden's approval numbers continuing to slip through his first year in office, stuck in the upper 30s.
Respondents gave Biden a negative 37% job approval rating, with 52% disapproving and 12% not offering an opinion. That's down a single percentage point from his 38% to 53% approval rating on Oct. 6.
Additionally, 38% said they hold an overall "favorable opinion" of Biden, down significantly from May, when he was still fresh in office, with 49% rating him favorably.
Biden's numbers may be sinking like a ship, but members of Congress are faring even worse.
Per the Quinnipiac poll, respondents gave congressional Democrats a negative 30% approval rating to 60% disapproval. For congressional Republicans, it was 23% to 65%.
A look at what respondents chose as their top issues may provide insight as to why the approval numbers sit where they do. Quinnipiac determined the economy to be the most urgent issue facing the country today, selected by 19% of respondents. That was followed by COVID-19 (16%) and immigration (14%).
There was a sharp partisan contrast as to which issues are the most important. Republicans selected immigration (28%), the economy (24%), and the national debt (10%) as most important. Democrats chose COVID-19 (28%), healthcare (14%), and climate change (13%), leaving no overlap between the two parties.

I wonder what the numbers really are. This is a university poll. They have to be giving Xiden at least 10 points.
Even less the extra points the approval numbers are way too high. The orange man bad syndrome sure puts the hurt to truth, justice, and the American way.
But 81 million people voted for this crap. He isn’t killing the country fast enough?

The RNC called me today, looking for a handout. They have the audacity to use the name and accomplishments of President Trump in their pitch. It infuriated me.
With no government experience, Trump had no choice but to trust an array of bureaucrats and former bureaucrats,, many of whom later showed themselves to be wolves in sheeps’ clothing who wanted to sink him and defend the bureaucracy. Unfortunately, even the business interests that he trusted, in the form of pharmaceutical companies, turned out to be completely untrustworthy.
If Trump makes it back to the White House, he’s got to realize that nearly 100% of Washington and virtually the same percentage of large corporations are completely opposed to his America-first agenda, and in fact to America itself. He has to understand that we are already in a cold civil war, and the enemies are everywhere. Anyone with prior government experience who is described as anything other than a “far-right extremist” should be distrusted and shunned. And I would trust precious few business leaders these days, as most have gone insanely “woke”, and will recommend policies that would even destroy their own businesses if to do so means being lauded by the lunatic Left.
He’s going to have to first unapologetically form a very small circle of the best and brightest of the ‘far-right extremists”, and rely upon them to choose every other appointee. He’s also going to have to get attorneys who will launch pre-emptive strikes against the dems, who will naturally try to tie him up again with frivolous lawsuits and “investigations.”
We’re in a war, and anyone we support from here on out MUST fully understand that, and be willing to fight like hell.
I totally agree with you. He needs to wake up on these vaxes though. I know he was duped, but he needs to admit it and stand up for all of us, including those poor souls who are in DC gulags that came to support him at that rally.
He needs to get informed on the horrible deaths and reactions to those fake vaxes.
On this issue, he IS NOT right and so many of those injured people deserve compassion instead of hearing him crow about what a good job he did. He isn’t blind and he needs to spend some time studying up on those clot shots.
I know I am far from being the only person that feels this way. My niece who thought he was the greatest from the day he came down that elevator doesn’t trust him now because of those clot shots.

He has the perfect out, in that he can assert that he was intentionally misled by the venal Fauci and the duplicitous Scarf Lady.

He really needs to start hammering Fauci on his lies and connection to Wuhan.
Pride and ego are definitely two of Trump’s weaknesses, but when kept under control they also provide the backbone and bravado that make him so effective. I guess what’s needed is that one unique advisor who can serve as a “Trump whisperer” and help him to realize when others have used his sense of pride against him.
Why is Biden’s approval rating even mentioned when there are no consequences for him?
