Why Do People Want to Take Ivermectin for COVID?
Yahoo News! ^ | Tue, September 14, 2021 | Korin Miller

Ivermectin continues to make headlines in the U.S. after COVID-19 patients and their loved ones insist on being treated with the anti-parasitic drug. QAnon supporter Veronica Wolski, who once filmed herself confronting Staples employees over their mask policy, died on Monday of COVID-19 after her supporters demanded that she be treated with ivermectin.

Wolski’s death led some of her supporters to allege that she was the victim of medical malpractice, and the hospital where Wolski was treated has reportedly fielded bomb threats.

This is hardly the first instance of people struggling with doctors and hospital systems over the use of ivermectin, a medication that is not currently recommended to treat COVID-19. Some people have resorted to ordering animal formulations of ivermectin, prompting the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to issue a warning against the practice.

Doncha just love the way the media refers to Ivermectin as an anti-parasitic drug (for horses) but fails to mention it’s been prescribed to humans for DECADES for scabies.

I don't give Yahoo! clicks.

I went to the site, then they demanded more to read the rest of the article.

Ivermectin for COVID-19: real-time meta analysis of 63 studies
Covid Analysis, Sep 14, 2021, Version 118 — discussion updates (V1 Nov 26, 2020) [GMK response, Elgazzar]
ShareTweetPDFStudiesAdoptionSubmit Feedback
•Meta analysis using the most serious outcome reported shows 69% [54‑79%] and 86% [75‑92%] improvement for early treatment and prophylaxis, with similar results after exclusion based sensitivity analysis and restriction to peer-reviewed studies or Randomized Controlled Trials.
•Statistically significant improvements are seen for mortality, hospitalization, recovery, cases, and viral clearance. 29 studies show statistically significant improvements in isolation.
Studies Prophylaxis Early treatment Late treatment Patients Authors
All studies 63 86% [75‑92%] 69% [54‑79%] 40% [24‑52%] 26,422 623
Peer-reviewed 45 86% [74‑93%] 70% [52‑81%] 43% [21‑59%] 17,316 490
Randomized Controlled Trials 31 84% [25‑96%] 64% [48‑74%] 30% [2‑50%] 6,561 369
Percentage improvement with ivermectin treatment
•There is evidence of a negative publication bias, and the probability that an ineffective treatment generated results as positive as the 63 studies is estimated to be 1 in 1 trillion.
•While many treatments have some level of efficacy, they do not replace vaccines and other measures to avoid infection. Only 27% of ivermectin studies show zero events in the treatment arm.
•Elimination of COVID-19 is a race against viral evolution. No treatment, vaccine, or intervention is 100% available and effective for all current and future variants. All practical, effective, and safe means should be used. Those denying the efficacy of treatments share responsibility for the increased risk of COVID-19 becoming endemic; and the increased mortality, morbidity, and collateral damage.
•The evidence base is much larger and has much lower conflict of interest than typically used to approve drugs.
•All data to reproduce this paper and sources are in the appendix. See [Bryant, Hariyanto, Kory, Lawrie, Nardelli] for other meta analyses with similar results confirming efficacy.

If I don’t contract just one of the varieties of the COVID family of products by next summer then they can all f*ck right off. Nothing yet like that in me and it’s going on two years now.

Why do people want to take an untested, unapproved, experimental gene therapy death shot for covid?

Why does anyone even fear a disease that is well over 99.99% survivable for almost everyone, save the typical demographics that are hit he hardest by any and every disease and illness?

Why give up superior natural derived immunity for crappy short lived vax immunity that doesnt even stop a significant portion of jabbed folks from getting covid?

For many different things, not just scabies. It is a WHO essential drug in fact.

Bomb threats? Can we hear the tapes and get the caller ID number?

I know dozens who have been cured with Ivermectin.

Dr. Nelson adds: “There are medications, such as antibody treatment or antivirals such as remdesivir, that may have a marginal impact on the progression of COVID when patients are not very ill, and others that help sick patients, such as corticosteroids. The best way to ‘treat’ COVID is to prevent it with vaccination.”

Even the CDC no longer claims the genetic injections prevent CV infection.

He lies.

....fails to mention it’s been prescribed to humans for DECADES for scabies.

And, fail to mention that it was invented/developed.....FOR humans....for an eye disease. A Nobel Prize winning development, at that.

Lying, MSM.

The proper question is why do people believe what they believe.

Why do some believe the media?

Why do others not?
