Beaumont study: COVID vaccines prevent serious illness, hospitalizations, death

A new study published by Beaumont Health finds that COVID-19 vaccines prevent serious illness, hospitalizations and death.

The study, published Thursday in the open access Lancet Regional Health journal, observed over 11,000 adult patients at Beaumont hospitals who visited emergency rooms between Dec. 15, 2020, and April 30, 2021, due to COVID infection, identifying patients who were unvaccinated, partially vaccinated and fully vaccinated.

The study found that COVID-19 hospitalization rates were 91% lower in fully vaccinated people compared to those who were unvaccinated. Officials say that emergency room visits among fully vaccinated people peaked at 1.29 visits per 100,000 vaccinated people in Michigan, while emergency room visits among those unvaccinated peaked at 22.61 per 100,000 unvaccinated people in Michigan.

With the dichotomy between the news from everywhere overseas and the “official” pronouncements from the US Government and their emissaries, it is impossible to discren truth from fiction. Given the demonstrated propensity for our government and its emissaries to lie to us, I cannot believe the results of this study.

It’s not that the individuals are all in on a conspiracy - it’s that the government holds the data hostage, making sure that all conclusions are drawn from the same (corrupted, IMHO) data set.

The mainstream media is reporting that severe COVID cases are mainly among unvaccinated people. An Associated Press headline from June 29 reads: “Nearly all COVID deaths in US are now among unvaccinated.” Another, from the same date: “Vast majority of ICU patients with COVID-19 are unvaccinated, ABC News survey finds.” Is that what’s really going on? It’s certainly not the case in Israel, the first country to fully vaccinate a majority of its citizens against the virus. Now it has one of the highest daily infection rates and the majority of people catching the virus (77 percent to 83 percent, depending on age) are already vaccinated, according to data collected by the Israeli government.

For a “serious” disease that is super communicable, I'd say BOTH numbers are effectively “nothing” out of 100,000.

This study is skewed. The dates are Dec. 15, 2020, and April 30, 2021. The first vaccine was only begun on Dec. 14, 2020 and By April 19, 2021, all U.S. states had opened vaccine eligibility to residents aged 16 and over. Given this time period a much smaller portion of the country would have been represented in the “fully vaccinated” group and thus account for the smaller incidents of hospital visits. This is especially true since they still count you unvaccinated for 14 days after the shot.

Anyone who believes anything at this long needs to have their heads examined.
