NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - President Biden will travel to New York City and New Jersey next week to survey the damage from the remnants of Hurricane Ida, the White House said Saturday.
Biden will travel to Queens and Manville, New Jersey on Tuesday, CBS News reported, after visiting Louisiana, which was battered by the hurricane.
The storm killed 13 people in New York City. Most victims were stuck in flooded basement apartments in Queens.
In Manville, several flooded homes and a banquet hall exploded due to gas leaks. The areas were inaccessible to fire crews because of severe flooding.

And where is Camel a.....in Ca with Newsome??
Bidet gets to visit basements—definitely in his comfort zone!
The empty shell will show up - walk around - say what he’s been told to say - pose for photos that look sort of like he cares and the leave.
If he can tour Queens on a weekday, he can go downtown on Saturday.
Sure. This is part of the news media polishing his image, somewhat tarnished after Afghanistan. The public will see that he is dynamic, fearless, in control, and a wonderful statesmen who cares about the people. A brain-dead public will fall for the lies.
Not us.
And the media will laud him for showing up and allegedly taking charge, and directing federal disaster aid to the victims.
He may even parrot some words about how global warming caused all this damage. We’ll see what lines they feed him to say.
Manville? Don’t let Biden go there. He might decide he wants to get his hands on nearby Duke Estate and for that he’d have to surrender Alaska to the CCP.
Manville itself is a humble community. He could be a meter maid there, with proper training.
Manville will stink a bit worse this afternoon.
Can you hear Puddin' Head Joe's words of empathy..."My son Beau _______. Beau _______. Beau ______ and ______. Now I spend a lot of time in my basement."
Seems like the place just wasn’t meant to be.
I drove up the Clearview expressway the day after, the amount of abandoned cars on the side of the road was mind boggling, some completely covered in mud
Interesting local report. Thanks.
So for 8 years it remained dormant? They decide to open it and again it floods? Bad timing and like you said not meant to be at least that location.
looking through binoculars backwards not knowing where he is or why he’s there
jill in patterned thigh highs and black 5” heels - “hey fellas”
d:^)
Does he intend to leave anyone behind?
They need to do with him what the Louisiana utility workers did. They were lined up alongside the road, yellow vests and all, and they all turned their backs on the motorcade when it went by.
Incidentally, the motorcade was followed by a car and a pickup, presumably of prestitutes and their equipment, and did you see a single report of it? It was taken by one of the participants and I saw it on Twitter, where I assume it has already been taken down.
I think they’re afraid it will catch on.
This should really make people there feel more secure and confident. NOT!
It might play out how Obama got such accolades after Hurricane Sandy, surveying the damage with Chris Christie. The media will play it up as a president in charge, giving orders, being sympathetic, pledging disaster relief, etc. And how Joe Biden cares. I expect to see such reports coming.
