Chet Hanks went an anti-vaccine tirade, telling people to “get over” COVID-19 and to “stay inside” if you’re unhealthy.

The oft-troubled son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson — who both battled the virus last year — began his Instagram rant by being pro-vaccine, stating he was just now coming out in support of it because of the increase in cases.

“I’ve been kind of on the fence about this for a while. That’s why I never spoke on it, but with the amount of people I know recently who have gotten COVID and with like the numbers rising, I think it’s important for me to say I got the vaccine,” he began.“I think everyone should. I think it’s really important that we all do this just as citizens

Who is this guy and does anyone care what he thinks?

Even more important:

Any word yet on where Cher stands on this deadly issue?

So, let me get this straight. A crackhead, spoiled, left-wing Holyweird type, who only got acting gigs because of his daddy’s name, whose former ‘partner’ has a ‘protective order’ against him, wants to give people advice on getting the vax, a vax that does not seem to work against the ‘Delta’ strain of the CCP-Coronavirus, a vax that is not fully tested, a vax with MANY deaths disabilities and illnesses associated with taking it. I’ll take his advice under advisement, giving it the weight it deserves.

After due consideration (perhaps two milliseconds), NO! In fact, HECK NO! But thank you for your advice, as valuable as it is. As the old saying goes, ‘free advice is worth what you pay for it’.

(BTW, I am NOT talking about Hunter XiJinBiden, though the same thing could be said!)

Even stupider is his old man, who wrote a long stupid essay for the WSJ on how none of us EVAH should play solitaire, owning to the need for time and love among our friends and relatives, NOT ALONE.

I mean the point is obvious, but to weigh in like Aristotle on the question of one-person card games?

How about lacing up the boxing gloves in order to shake loose the cobwebs of what passes for the clown prince of our times?

The premise of Castaway was ridiculous. The islet had a tiny grove of coconut palms at one end and a small lagoon surrounding it. Springs run only during the wet seasons on these lslets. In a situation like the castaway character found himself in, he would use about 5,000 calories a day. There is no way that such tiny island would have the steady resources to supply a man for more than a few weeks, much less 5 years.

Opposing experimental gene therapies (mislabeled as “vaccines”) of dubious safety and effectiveness being pushed onto the entire population including people not at risk for the illness in a politically polarized panic is not what I think the term anti-vax should ever be used for.

began his Instagram rant by being pro-vaccine, stating he was just now coming out in support of it because of the increase in cases.

But I didn't think the vaccines were very effective against the Delta Variant, which is more contagious but less deadly than previous strains.

I took the vaccine, but support anyone's choice to not be vaccinated 100%.

You know, I was really waiting for this mouth breather to weigh in on the subject.

Well, that settes it. I sure don’t want him to think ill of me...

Remind me... does anyone know what makes this guy someone to listen to (other than being a celeb spawn with access to social media...) I’m curious as to why he thinks he matters.

I think the only argument to listening to this guy is the humor factor - since he’s such a mess. I didn’t say it was a good reason, but he could be a source of amusement for some.

I’m not complaining, really. And you’re reasoning is sound. I am just perpetually stunned that these brainless bonobos feel their opinions matter.
The sad thing is — I used to love Tom Hanks about 30+ years ago. Joe versus the volcano and The Money Pit were such fun films... and then he suddenly became this smirky, holier than thou Hollywood saint... probably about the time Philadelphia came out.

Ugh...

I know what you are saying. Money Pit I liked, but Joe vs. the Volcano I couldn't even finish. I didn't like Forrest Gump at all, and that may have been the last time I actually watched him in a movie. He's just insufferable. His other son was okay in a movie or two, but I haven't seen him in much.

Oh, I hated Forrest Gump — it was just the most nauseating film. He does his best imitation of Gomer Pyle and people just mess their drawers.
I took extra special umbrage at that film because I worked with Special Ed kids and thought his performance was jaw droppingly repulsive. (I actually think a film like The Ringer is more respectful of SpEd kids.)
