A new poll has revealed conservative radio host Larry Elder is gaining popularity with California voters as Gov. Gavin Newsom faces a recall election in September.
The Emerson College/Nexstar Media poll, published on Friday, found 48 percent of voters still want Newsom to remain in office, even as momentum for a recall grows. 43 percent of people polled now say they will vote to recall Newsom - up from 38 percent in March.
If Newsom is removed from office, there are 40 candidates currently vying to replace him - and the new poll shows Elder leading the pack.
The 69-year-old Republican gets 16 percent of the vote share among those candidates, ahead of businessman John Cox and former San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer, who are tied in second place with 6 percent respectively.
Meanwhile, the poll shows Caitlyn Jenner struggling to gain traction among voters despite widespread name recognition. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is polling at just 4 percent.
However, a majority of voters - 53 percent - say they 'don't yet know' who they would vote for should Newsom be removed from office.
And it will be an uphill battle for any of the candidates to replace Newsom, given that nearly half of all voters want him to serve out the remainder of his term.

1. As long as ANY voter stays home the election can be stolen for Newsom.
2. As long as there are dEmocrat poll watchers denying Republican poll watchers access the election can be stolen for Newsom.
3. As long as Dominion or any company like Dominion is involved in ANY way the election can be stolen for Newsom.
4-10. As long as dEmocrats have access in ANY way, manner, or form, the election can be stolen for Newsom.
BUT WE GO TO THE POLLS AND BE POLL WATCHERS TO MAKE IT FREAKING HARDER FOR THEM TO STEAL IT FOR NEWSOME.
Who is the "him" referring to here? Newsom? The candidate who replaces him? If they want him (Newsom) so serve out the remainder of his term, why bother to remove him?
I’m surprised Jenner has 4%.
Sounds like 53% of voters ain’t too bright.
Larry is pretty much the only one Id vote for. Everyone here in LA knows who Larry Elder is, just depends if enough people are sick and tired of the crap going on in LA and across the state that they want real change
As far as Jenner goes, I guess it is time for ‘it’ to return to a man.
That’s a big IF… Don’t know how much more chaos the sheep will take before the blinders come off. Maybe Larry will be the guy who pulls it off :-)
LOL
I had little interest until Larry “the Sage of South Central” Elder entered the race. I will definitely vote for him!
Two separate votes:
Question 1 — Do you want to recall Newsom? Yes or no. 50%+1 required.
Question 2 — If Newsome is recalled, who would you choose as governor? There are 45 candidates. All it takes is a plurality.

Did Bruce ever think he really had a chance with Conservatives? It’s obvious the man has some mental illness issues. How long would it be before the LBGTQ plus community capitalized on his gender issues.
There will always be a certain percentage of the voting public who will say to themselves, “Yeah, let’sput a twisted freak in officeandsee what happens,”
I suspect OJ hisself would have out-polled Brucie.
I would vote for OJ over a at democrat. I vote for Ted Bundy over.a.democrat.
I prefer Caitlyn Jenner to Gavin Newsom just saying.
The rat always overpolls by 5 and any conservative always underpolls by AT LEAST 5.
Is Larry Elder officially on the ballot now? I thought he was suing because he had been excluded. (By some white Jim Crow dems trying to hold the man down.....)
Republicans don't want Jenner because they rightfully see him as a mentally ill mutilated man who is completely unfit to govern the state and is trying to normalize "LGBTQ pride" in the GOP.
DemocRATS don't want Jenner because they rightfully see him as a lifelong Republican who still holds sincerely conservative views on economic issues and agrees with the GOP view that its unfair for trans "women" to compete in woman's sports because they have a physical advantage, and
Independents don't want Jenner because they rightfully realize it's a vanity campaign. He's not running a serious campaign for Governor and is just doing it to get more attention on television and boost his reality TV show viewership.
To Jenner's credit, he stood up for Larry Elder's entry into the race when the media was trying to ignore him and the political establishment was trying to prevent him from getting on the ballot so voters wouldn't have a real choice. I wonder if Jenner regrets that now:

* jenner-It’s obvious the man has some mental illness issues.*
It’s not that. As a public figure he has to be out in the public. If there’s no recall he’d have to find some other way.
