Parents have accused America's top high school of a 'purge' after slashing its intake of Asian American students by 20 percent because 'they are the wrong minority.'
Anti-Critical Race Theory campaigner Asra Nomani, whose child graduated from the school this year, claims Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ) in Virginia is making race a factor in the admissions criteria and discriminating against Asian children.
She said TJ, which ranked the number one school nationwide in the US News Best High Schools report in April and as a public school has no tuition fees, has 'systematically set out to reduce' the number of Asian students joining.
Admissions data shows the class of 2025 has become increasingly diverse with black students making up 7 percent of the year group, up from just 1 percent for the class of 2021.
The proportion of Hispanic students increased from 3 percent to 11 percent while white students climbed from 18 percent to 22 percent.
Asian students continue to make up the majority at 54 percent of the class.
However, this marks a major decrease from 73 percent of the class of 2021 - a decline Nomani said is down to 'new racist standards' in the admissions process.

I can’t believe this Nazi crap that is going on today in education, it’s shocking. Don’t we have laws against discrimination? What happened, did they suddenly fly out the window? Where are the lawsuits?
I had friends from the DC area, and while they did not attend TJ, they reported that many of the Chinese students cheated academically, and many were not true residents: they boarded with unrelated Chinese families and claimed they were living with their uncle.
The good news is that the teachers performance will get dinged when test scores tank after the asians are purged.
Modern Western liberals are socialists.
However, they are bourgeoisie liberals because what they call poverty or a lack of opportunity or unfair treatment is mostly BS.
The true ideological motivation behind these folks that fancy themselves as better and more ethical is “egalitarianism.”
They want to pretend that cultural differences do not make a difference since that would mean one culture might be superior to another. They don’t want to see differences in outcome between religions, the races, sexes, sexual orientations but would rather create a scapegoat.
-Boys and girls are not the same and that is apparent.
-There are differences between the races and that’s why every doctor will even ask you this question.
-There are differences between the religions and their are differences between various cultures, the value systems, and the outcomes they create for those that believe in these things.
Egalitarianism is a feel good lie that has become “ethical” to preach. It is nice to say we are all the same. Only of course, we are not and that is why you’re seeing some very stupid things developing in sports today where men get to compete with women (unfair to women athletes), or women get pushed through military service schools or have a double standard in PT...

School boards and teacher's unions - primarily the NEA - are totally out of control, acting like commissars answerable to no one. They need to be brought to heel.

This happens a lot. Chinese schools are rigorous, many Chinese think its too rigorous. Chinese parents complain that it only produces rote learners and good test-takers. They will do whatever it takes, pay huge amounts of money, to get their kids into USA high schools. Many Chinese families also want to have a foot outside of China as insurance.
America is such a funny place. We have groups who have education and America's wealth and opportunity handed to them on a silver platter, only to become more hateful and resentful. And then on the other extreme, we have minorities who will do everything they can to get education and out-compete others.

Asians in America do well , not so much because they are that much smarter, but because of their work ethic.. My Asian DIL , daughter of immigrants, had to “study “for hours because that was expected.. She has not taken that tradition to my granddaughters, that are pretty average students..Asians work to earn that merit..if other minorities worked as hard, they too could EARN it . But we now teach them they have “earned” it by being the right color
That is an Asian thing... The Koreans also do that... My sons inlaws were very disterbed that my DIL dated non Korean men.. They love the kids, but it is still troublesome to them that they have “mixed” grandchildren

Now if Republicans could find someone who can speak Asian, to communicate with these people, they’d be a very handy group to line up against the Democrats.

Why not? There are no jobs for them when they get out. This “purge” has already happened to jobs in the REAL world. They are only playing catch up in the academic world.
