A federal judge tossed out a lawsuit from more than 100 hospital employees who sued Houston Methodist over its policy requiring all staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
The workers alleged in their lawsuit that the hospital was "forcing its employees to be human 'guinea pigs' as a condition for continued employment." They also accused the hospital of violating the Nuremberg Code of 1947, likening the vaccine mandate to Nazi medical experimentation on concentration camp prisoners.
US District Judge Lynn Hughes was not sympathetic to either argument, writing in his order of dismissal Saturday evening that none of the employees were forced or coerced to take the vaccine. He also noted that the hospital cannot violate the Nuremberg Code because it is a private employer, not a government.
"Equating the injection requirement to medical experimentation in concentration camps is reprehensible," Hughes wrote. "Nazi doctors conducted medical experiments on victims that caused pain, mutilation, permanent disability, and in many cases, death."
He added that the workers were free to accept or reject a vaccine and that they would "simply need to work elsewhere" if they chose the latter.
"If a worker refuses an assignment, changed office, earlier start time, or other directive, he may be properly fired. Every employment includes limits on the worker's behavior in exchange for his remuneration," Hughes wrote. "That is all part of the bargain."

Flu shots approved by the FDA have been through lengthy clinical trials that demonstrate safety and efficacy. If that’s what we were talking about I would agree with you.
Covid-19 vaccines haven’t been approved by the FDA, they are an experimental vaccine, authorized for emergency use only.
This isn’t a particularly difficult distinction but you have to pay attention.
Will these judges be responsible for the deaths of these Americans who are faced with losing their job over forced injections? All I know is there are now hundreds of thousands who have violated the Nuremberg Code against forcing participation in experiments on the human body. And losing one’s job to avoid being experimented on is not a valid choice under the Code. What an insane world we live in.

I am in health care. I have never taken the hepatitis vaccines. I have taken two flu vaccines for different facilities for travel assignments, and refused it other times. I am not taking the covid vaccine and still working.
I don’t know why everything in free Republic world is so all or nothing.

My view is based on very broad principles of freedom and liberty. I should have every right to refuse to hire people for any reason whatsoever — including many reasons that would be considered “illegal” in a totalitarian state.
Well. I guess the judge had an opposing view and made a ruling. It was a good ruling. Invoking the Nuremberg code is sinkky a shock and awe argument that is incorrect.
The Reagan appointed judge pretty much appropriately spanked the Nuremberg argument.

To make it clear, condition of employment at the hospital includes a number of mandated vaccines including the yearly flu and pneumonia shots.
But, I do think you're right, manufacturers are entirely protected for their COVID offerings. If at some point someone brings a case about side effects or long term effects of COVID vaccines, it won't be the government or the manufacturers who face debilitating claims, it'll be employers who mandated employees get the COVID shot.
That bothered me — for about ten seconds … because I recognize the right of the business owner to impose these requirements but found it disgraceful that a business I've come to like would do such a thing.
My disgust lasted only ten seconds because I read the sign a second time and noticed something interesting: It doesn’t say anything about a COVID vaccine in particular.
So I walk in and out of there on regular basis. As soon as I picked up on that little nuance I realized that the management of the business establishment doesn’t give a flaming crap about whether or not the customers are vaccinated.
As for it being my opinion, you are dead wrong. Read up and find out on your own, because you will not take my word for it, but you might learn for yourself, that all of these so called "vaccines" have been designated as "For Emergency Use Only" Actually it states For Emergency Use Authorization.

I'd have expected someone who claimed to have been traumatized by the sight of their patients gasping their lives away in extremis on a ventilator, to have heard about the study already through professional channels.

How about a legal document stating that those responsible for mandating a “vaccination” be held responsible for any and all reactions from the “vaccinations” for the life of the recipient. Signed and notarized by the responsible partly before the shot or the requirement.
