Fears of side-effects fuel reluctance to get Covid jabs, survey finds
The Guardian via MSN ^ | 6/03/21 | Sarah Boseley

Most people who are reluctant to be vaccinated against Covid are worried about side-effects and whether the vaccines have been adequately tested, a survey in 15 countries has shown.

Other reasons cited in the survey of 68,000 people, led by Imperial College London’s Institute of Global Health Innovation in collaboration with YouGov, were the uncertainty that people would not get the vaccine they preferred and worries about efficacy.

The survey was carried out in Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Excluding eligibility, the top reasons for not having the vaccine across all 15 countries surveyed were “concerns about side effects” and/or “concerns that there has not been enough testing of vaccines”.

Trust in vaccines was highest in the UK, at 87%, and lowest in Japan, at 47%. The UK respondents also had the highest level of confidence in their health authorities (70%), while South Korea had the lowest (42%).

Among those who had not yet been vaccinated, confidence was highest in the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in nine out of the 15 countries, and in three others – Canada, Singapore and Sweden – among those under 65.

The US had the largest number of people across all ages saying they did not trust any of the Covid vaccines. The survey, which has been running since last year, found that until March the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine was the most trusted in the UK among the under-65s, but confidence in it has declined in all age groups with the publicity over side effects. In most other countries, trust in Oxford/AstraZeneca is low, as with Russia’s Sputnik V and China’s Sinopharm vaccines.

“experimental”

A product injected into more than 50 million people is not at this point experimental.

Most drugs you see advertised on TV were put into less than 50,000 people before they were initially advertised on TV.

For me, the first Moderna shot caused muscle tenderness for about a day, and the second Moderna shot caused muscle tenderness for about 80 hours and a day of weakness.

All the side effect for me are long past now.

My days free from Covid worry are about 30 and climbing by the count of one each day.

Met a retired Army M.D. whose specialty was virology research a few weeks ago.

She told me anyone under 45-50 without any co-morbidity who gets this jab is nuts. The risk of a bad outcome from this virus is lower than than the risk of the possible side effects of this experimental “vaccine”. She also felt the severity of this virus has been politically exploited.

She also said the the genetic changes in this virus to make it infectious to humans doesn’t occur in nature.

For me it is recognition of the lies and the heavy, forceful push to coerce getting the shot.

When I got my first Pfizer shot, I literally felt no side effects whatsoever, nothing, not even a sore arm. With the 2nd 3 weeks later, later that night I noticed my arm was a bit sore, sort of like I’d been lifting heavy weights. The next day around lunch time I felt a bit chilled and a bit achy but kept working until the end of the day.

When I got home, I felt a bit worse, mostly body aches and what I presumed was a fever and feeling quite tired.

As the night went on, the body aches got worse and kept me from sleeping even as I felt extremely tired. The other thing was having to go pee like every 20 minutes but that is what always happens when I get a bad cold or the flu, I think from the fever and also drinking a lot of iced ginger ale, my go to when feeling sick.

Around midnight I took a shot of Nyquil for the fever and the aches and also ate a half pint of strawberry ice cream, and soon fell asleep, slept through the night and felt perfectly fine the next day. I credit both the ice cream and the NyQuil.

In contrast to the people I know who got COVID and missed several days of work if not weeks, with continuing breathing problems, nerve pain, loss of smell and taste and severe fatigue that lasted weeks if not months, my few hours of a bit of discomfort and no lost time from work that subsided with a shot of Nyquil and some strawberry ice cream was nothing.

“Trust in vaccines was highest in the UK, at 87%”

I was thinking the brainwashing is working there. A friend in the UK said they play ads about how wonderful their socialized medicine is

In God we trust. Government that lies, withholds life saving therapeutics, and forces vaccines…not so much so

My days are free from COVID worry and I haven’t gotten an experimental injection. Plus I don’t have to worry about adverse effects now, in one year, in two years, etc.

And then there are the “I’ve already had the virus. No need for an experimental vaccine” folks.

Love how they call it “reluctant”, too. I’m not reluctant or hesitant, but firm. And I have no fears, at least for myself, as I won’t be taking their poison, and was never afraid of the Coof, either.

Side effects of the vaccine tend to go away quickly, in a day or two, unlike symptoms of long Covid.

We don’t know the long-term effects of the emergency use experimental gene therapies nor do we know how the immune systems of those who were jabbed will respond when confronted with a new virus, again because no long-term studies.

Frankly, I am inclined to take Ivermectin...I think it has as much efficacy as the Emergency use therapies and it is safer.

If I am not alive 5 years from now, I’m confident it will not be as a result of the vaccine.
