Hi All, In an argument in a telegram thread and I am being slammed by people saying Trumps economy was worse than all other President's since Hoover and then they linked a Forbes link...anyone have any info I can present?
Pre-pandemic Trump’s average annual GDP was 2.5%.
Always use keywords. Always. Added trumpeconomy.
Still about 100 specific sources to how great Trump’s economy was.
Great unemployment numbers among all ranks at his peak before COVID struck and a Stock Market that is probably unprecedented; which is still a Raging Bull until Biden destroys it with Tax Hikes. Biden sure as hell didn’t produce this market, nor will he produce jobs. Any employment gains under the Biden Administration can only be attributed to Trump’s economic policies.
Good. And Communist China is owned by China. Their big source they throw at you is not the financial magazine of yore. It is at the service of Trump’s biggest enemy.
The global scandemic can’t be included if you are being reasonable…but of course they aren’t being reasonable.
So use their own twisted thinking against them. Say something like “I’ll match Trump’s best quarterly GDP number against any Democrat President. ANY Democrat.”
BTW, Trump’s best quarterly GDP was 33.4%. Not a typo.
Now, when they say “oh yeah, that’s coming back from the Pandemic” say “oh, NOW you want to admit the Pandemic skewed the numbers?”
Just look up info about the lowest unemployment numbers for blacks in decades.
He had all kinds of good numbers. They're around.
I think we got through this pandemic because it happened with a strong economy in force and the initial government help.
What we have seen since November 3, 2020, is a massive, coordinated effort to electronically 'disappear', hide, or outright change any electronic evidence that the Trump economy was any more than weak and anemic.
They do this with the full help and willing assistance of all branches of the US Government, Big Tech encompassing Google, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, education, entertainment, and media.
They are trying to do to Trump what Stalin did to to his enemies (most famously to the West, Avel Enukidze who was erased from pictures with Stalin) by making them "unpersons". As if they never existed.
This quote from Orwell's "1984" describes the goals of the Left in which the custodian, librarian, and disseminator of "truth" and "knowledge" is...Google:
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”
Ask your Mom.
(Does she know you're using her computer?)
Yes.
And remember how EVERY SINGLE SOURCE IN THE GOVERMENT AND MEDIA INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF said over and over again that economic growth of 2-2.5% was the “new normal” and that the days of 3% or greater were over in the “new economy”.
After which Trump began posting numbers 3% or greater up until, as another poster called it, the “Scamdemic”.
You all are awesome- thanks for the info!!
Troll Alert!
Ask your “friends” where they would like to go when Trump v2 revives exile. Just doing some random polling...
There was an original article from Zero hedge in 2015 showing the disaster that was the Obama era in nine charts. It’s no longer there. The information came from FRED. Student loans, food stamps, federal debt, money printing, health insurance cost, labor force participation, workers’ share of the economy, median family income, and home ownership. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CIVPART
Yes, our hero Reagan did much the same, but he was racking up debt by restoring the military that had suffered decades of neglect.
Much as Trump was in the position of having to do.
All in all, if given a choice, I would rather spend in conjunction with tax cuts and efforts to spur industry by reducing legislation.
The Democrats will never do that, so with them we get spending coupled with tax increases and impediments to industrial success.
