How much farther to go before woke Coke hits rock bottom?

Some of our best paid CEOs are failing miserably to remember what a business is for.

Maybe we should call it "the pause that doesn't refresh" anymore. At least, a lot of people are saying that as they overlook Coke for something else. This is the latest from the long list of companies who listen to "the wokes" in H.R. rather than the customers who keep them in business. Check this out:

Mere weeks after going public with stern words about the new election law in Georgia, Coca-Cola has become far more muted in its corporate bellowing. Now, we know why. A new poll has come out to show more than pushback from select citizens has taken place; there is widespread rejection of the company's bold pronouncement, becoming just the latest in a growing list of companies who have suffered self-imposed, negative PR.

What a bunch of sissies, if I'm still allowed to use that word in this cancel culture.

First, they don't read the law and go on TV to repeat the talking points that the wokes gave them. Second, they run away when the cash registers stop ringing.

The question is, why do they do it? Nobody consumes a soft drink to endorse or reject a political idea. We have elections and debates to do that. We consume this or that because we like it and not much more.

When will the shareholders rise? I guess they will when the next quarterly earnings come in and their checks are a little smaller.

Once upon a time, I took business courses in school and learned that a company's mission is to make the best product or offer the best service in the market.

As Peter Drucker wrote: "The purpose of business is to create and keep a customer."

I don’t drink coke anymore. I force down Pepsi because it is the only one other than coke that you can buy at a HAMBURGER BEEF store!!! Boy is the new Deadbrain rules going to destroy ALL food establishments in the nation, except chicken places, and maybe even them.

Notice how Gillette has been quiet on the BLM front? When they had previously ventured into the male toxicity nonsense with their commercials their profits took a tumble. One would think the other CEO’s would get a clue but nope. It’s astonishing how they get paid millions while leading their respective companies down a sinkhole. Insanities of leftard Wokeness on display. What good are huge salaries if one is corrupted and prefers insanity instead of wisdom?

i stick with local or store brand on everything.

national name brands fund the LEFTIST media which props the whole “wokester” facade up.

My recipe to make a gallon is 6 black tea bags, 4 green tea bags. Supposed to steep in a pot of boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Sometimes I forget and go an hour or two.

I found cold-brewing was so much easier and tastes the same. I put ten tea bags in a gallon of water overnight in the refrigerator. Three to four tea bags in large throat water bottle works well too.

Ok well I do my homemade green drinks. My backyard grows rosemary, parsley and Swiss chard. Add in lemon or lime and a little protein powder in the blender plus water and a dash of turmeric Phytonutrients baby - good for the health and brain. I really do like the taste of Coke but the unhealthy sugary fizz plus leftist Wokeness is one more reason for my green liquid concoction only.

Years ago my then girlfriend’s family in Texas made sun tea. Put teabags in a bottle of water and let the sun provide the heat. Can add in some mint leaves if desired.

The part that I don’t get is why aren’t these CEOs being sued. In public companies, at least, their PRIME RESPONSIBILITY is to increase shareholder value (to the extent permitted without breaking the law).

Alienating at least 40% of their market doesn’t seem to match that objective very well.

And here we see how this will all blow over and Coke will be fine. Conservative hated Pepsi for a while because they changed their logo and it looked a lot like Obama’s. Now they’re the preferred model to Coke.

Liberals think of one thing 24 hours a day.

FORCING everyone in the world to agree with their philosophy.

I don’t agree. Coke sells worldwide and won’t notice a thing.

I haven’t had a soft drink in 40 years.

Sun tea can give you stomach problems from the way the tea leaves are dried out. Birds and other critters can crap on those leaves. Never drink sun tea. always use boiling water making black tea.

I actually wrote tem a letter (I know it won't matter but it made me feel good)

Kudos to you for doing that, and I believe it does matter.

***They made a terrible mistake that will cost them market share for a generation to come***

As bad as their rollout of NEW COKE? Actually it was pretty good. Their marketing of it was a disaster.

Alienating at least 40% of their market doesn’t seem to match that objective very well.

The thing about Coke and many other large US corporations is that they have so much international business that a loss of some market share in the US won't hurt them as much as firms that do business only in the US.

Hopefully, Coke will feel the pain enough in the US to knock some sense into them.

Urologist had to go through my back to remove kidney stones. Asked me about my drinks. Told him 3-4 Diet Cokes everyday. Said to stop drinking it if I wanted to stay healthy.

After having two catheters because of the surgery, I haven’t had a drop.

Cola is poison. I actually had a harder time quitting my daily cola habit than I did my once every week or two cocktail session.
