Laila Mickelwait doesn’t disguise her ultimate ambition – to bring down one of the world’s most successful adult entertainment sites, Pornhub, which has more monthly visitors than Netflix and generates annual revenues approaching $500 million.
She hasn’t succeeded yet. But, against all odds, it looks like she’s winning.
This week, 70 Senators and MPs in Canada – where Pornhub is headquartered – wrote an open letter calling on police to launch a criminal investigation into its parent company, MindGeek.
They were responding to evidence presented to a parliamentary committee which heard that MindGeek has “regularly made available content featuring child sexual abuse, sexual assault, and sex trafficking”.

They might as well try banning beer too..........
Democrats in the US will object. They love their porn as much as their drugs
Wonder who broke her jaw?
PORN DESTROYS FAMILIES. And PRAYER is stronger than all forces of darkness.
All those who trust Jesus Christ as their risen Savior, we must support this effort with prayer.
God is able, but are we willing lift this to Him?
Come on now, let’s not be lazy!
Pants down pocket books open
liberal women have destroyed families.
Or winning at whack-a-mole.
Well you learn something new everyday I guess. I had no idea PH was HQd somewhere in the great white north. oh oh oh ohhhhhhhh Canada
Bet those pervert Democrats are working on their own connection on the southern border, and the Cartels don't like Canucks competing with them.
Why watch video when you can grope the real thing?
This reminds me of our American history of Alcohol Prohibition. I get that she wants to prevent minors from being used in porn, but like it or not, there will always be an adult market for it.
We are just now making Marijuana use legal in certain instances. The idea being that it takes some power away from drug cartels. How prudent, how practical will it be to start another ‘war’ on a product that is wanted? It may be a waste of resources. Let’s not throw the Baby out with the bathwater. She will find out what I mean.
Something must have happened to her personally to take this up as her Crusade.
Has the optics of an admission of guilt.
Laila...got me on my knees...
Maybe when we get our One World Government, they’ll have the authority to eliminate online porn. Until then, these companies will just relocate to countries that don’t see a problem with it should they be pressure to shut down.
Incidentally, I suspect the COVID plandemic has been a bonanza for online pornography.
Oh, sure, the sexual torture of children is not evil; it’s just a minor vice like drinking beer. You can’t be serious.
I join in your prayers.
Excellent point. Same with the printed porn, soft porn or whatever you call it. A friend once tried to give me a subscription to Playboy—I declined. I have never bought a single issue, nor will I. It is a difficult topic, but the best way to address it is to erase the need for it. A proper understanding of human sexuality trough proper education is one way. Simplistic? Yes. Freedom allows all permutations of sin. Our only salvation is Christ.
...But MindGeek also reportedly has some better-known financial backers — including JPMorgan Chase, Cornell University and Fortress Investment Group, a New York-based investment management firm. They were among 125 investors who gave the company $362 million in debt back in 2011, when it was known as Manwin and looking to expand, the FT reported.
But interesting lips...
This was just posted as a blind item on one of the gossip sites like CrazyDays. Interesting....
I know that I’ll be in the minority here, but I hope she fails.
